  • Where to buy an offcial dsi power board

Well, I sent my DSi off to NOA in East Syracuse NY, they sent the system back WITHOUT repairing it.

They said in the letter since I opened it up it was not eligible for repair.

I know the problem after some searching the net. When I opened up my system I accidentally put the battery in backwards which blew the fuse. I would rather just order a replacement board than have to trash it & buy another one. So, any suggestions who might have a cheap genuine Nintendo C/TWL-SUB-01 board for the standard DSi? (not the XL)

P.S. I even told the guy on the phone I had opened it up, they said they would contact me BEFORE sending it back to me; they never contacted me they just sent it back. I could have just told them to hold it & me send them the cash to replace the board.

Sounds like a job for me lol. Take a good picture of the fuse so I can see what replacement part it needs, it will be cheaper than a new power board and cheap chinese ripoffs should work fine.

Edit: I found a good guide for you with the part to buy which is about $18

    and the fuse on ebay:
    http://www.ebay.com/itm/Fuse-Wire-Ma...item564873d1f5 for $4

and another power board for about $6 which is your best bet

I think I found just the ticket: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Nintendo-DSi...item43b8bfec04

Thanks for searching for that stuff, I don't solder anything. So I might makes things worse if I tried. I think I'll just go with this one in the link, thanks anyway Helder.

I still have everything that came with it, had it nearly 3 months.

P.S. I didn't know Ebay could legally sell JTAG 360's.

Do the power boards not come with the fuse already on it? Why buy both?

Well I looked for the fuse isnce it should be cheaper than the board then I decided to see what they go for and its only a few dollars more. Why would you pay more (double) for the same board I linked above? They are both compatible but the price is a major difference, my link $5.99 yours $10.95 plus $2.95 shipping totaling $13.90. The Xbox on the other hand is probably something that has gone under the radar but will disappear once its been found out, I tried selling modded PS2 systems back in the day on ebay and it got removed once found out.

I prefer official Nintendo parts if I can get them, I guess I'm just lazy. So I'm guessing the one in the link I showed you does in fact come with the fuse(s). I see it does not come with the LED, but that's okay because mine still works; it just blinks all the time when the adapter/charger is plugged in.

The seller of the JTAG 360 said Ebay wouldn't allow the "M" word, which probably means modded. Also the fuse in your link is for DS Lite, or are they the same?

Somebody on another forum said something about bridging it, as I've never soldered or whatever before I don't want to risk any more damage.
