  • Can Wi-Fi let you see people through walls?

It isn't exactly Superman-like X-ray vision, but cheap, low-power Wi-Fi technology is gaining more attention as a remote sensing tool.

If they can make a device that can see people through walls, then how come they can't make it so my fucking hot pockets get hot in the center too, instead of just on the sides?

Anyway, I agree. It sounds like a total invasion of privacy.
      I'm retired from code hacking.

It's not enough that they put cameras at the red light, now they wanna see in people's homes.

They should put a stop to it.

I'll survive. It's odd I see news of this pop up about 2 weeks ago on a scientific research site and now it's everywhere. People were pointing out that it would be useful to use hand gestures to control everything in your home. Of course they'd need to put lead plates in all of the walls or do something else because everything will go straight to hell turning everything on and off because of your neighbors or whoever walks by with their kids. I'm sure somebody at work would love to be able to give somebody the middle finger and a hand with a glove would grab somebody by the back collar of their shirt, lift them to the door, and a big boot boots them in the ass out of the store like something out of inspector gadget. Whatever happens, I'll live, and I could imagine people making a jammer wouldn't be much of a problem, except to people relying on signals not being jammed.

I can imagine it being very helpful for authorities though. It could be a great motion detector. I'm kind of wondering why I don't see anything about motion sensing with sound. It doesn't go through walls as well, so that should work good for motion sensing too.
