  • Game related PCBs I'm working on.

I thought I would share what Game related PCBs I'm working on and any refining and final PCB designs I come up with. I also will show the sites I got the info and schematics that made me design these PCBs. I'm in the process of making this one and have all parts ordered and will have a PCB fabricated in the next 2 weeks.

Scan Line Generator - Generates scan lines on vga monitors or newer lcd/plasma tvs but more than likely will only work with a upscaler like this:
http://www.mmmonkey.co.uk/console/other/rgb2vga.htm and here is how its made without a fabricated pcb

    Dreamcast VGA board.

This is a board to tap into the VGA output of the Dreamcast and is a hell of alot cheaper than a vgabox that is available for it. This needs some rework since it will be costly to have the PCB fabricated because of the size, I plan to shrink it down quite a bit.

RGB to YUV aka Component Video

This uses an SNES video encoder as the video encodes, this is supposed to be a universal encoder for almost all retro systems but many of them need to have the proper signals soldered to and have some rca jacks added to the system then this will handle the conversion from onboard RGB to Component which is the higher quality video you can get from these systems. this obsolete and has been remade with another encoder which is supposedly better but I made this before I found the new thread with the schematic, I will have a new PCB of the newer version once the schematic is finalized. Source:
