I'm slowly becoming more baffled all the time as more news about Xbox One becomes available. Do they even know what they are saying when they release info? Every time I hear something new about it I hate it more because it just keeps getting worse.

"It will always be on sucking up a little electricity so we can make sure you don't need to wait to download updates before you do things"
I can see that being useful, but I like keeping my electricity bill as low as I can. I also see that all console still force you to wait and watch the decade long updates occur. How come I still can't play a god damned game while I'm waiting for the update of some other game? How hard is that to pull off? Just keep playing something until that game update has finished downloading and then it asks you if you want to quit to install the update for that game. If I'm playing a different game than what I am updating, how about it not even asking and just do all of that in the background with maybe a pop up message saying it's finished downloading and installing. If it's a console update, tell me it's done downloading and if possible it can install whatever little thing without quitting whatever I'm doing, and tell me it needs me to stop what I'm doing. Nobody likes waiting forever for updates but I don't really see any options my consoles give me. Do I ALWAYS need to sit and watch that 5GB update for a game? Can't I play another game while I'm waiting or watch something on Netflix, or pop in a DVD? Nope, I'm always forced to watch a slow download progress bar, and everyone hates that.

"You can't play pre-owned and pawned off copies because blah blah check system so no buying used games"
I know it's robbing game makers, but really? Have you guys attempted negotiating with many different places that offer used games? Have you tried striking a deal with Amazon or other places like Gamestop that give them a good enough chunk of profit to still make it worth it while still giving game makers some chunk of the profit?

"TV, TV, Sports, Call Of Duty, Call Of Duty (If you've seen the joke video on youtube)"
I want games. I'm not all about graphics even though they are nice. "TV" & "Sports"? I don't care, and we already have some good options for TV. I haven't checked out sports, they bore me. It's a game console, so I'm hoping games are the biggest priority and everything else comes last.

"It will have a motion tracker to detect your reaction to things, can see in the dark, and will reward you for watching advertisements"
Recording peoples' reactions to things while awarding people for watching advertisements translates in my brain into ad revenue being a huge priority. I think you guys should get a mandatory thing of your own where employees get special TV access. It'll be like the rest, but a 50 minute show should take 5 hours because it will be interrupted with 5 minutes of retarded ads every 2 minutes of the show. Everyone hates ads, you're trying to get us to watch more of them, I hate you.

"You will always need to connect online after 24 hours or you can't play games"
Not everybody has high speed internet. What crimes do you think we'll even do if we play games offline? It doesn't sound like there is a way to commit an offline crime, this just sounds dumb. What is the reasoning? Afraid a person will buy a game, not register it online by never going online or not having internet, and then selling it to a game store where somebody with internet will buy it causing game makers to lose more money?

Seriously, what the f@ck is up with Microsoft? Who reads any of this crap and likes what they are reading? Do they even know what they are saying or even how people will react to any of this? Is this all some kind of joke? Somebody needs to metaphorically do a "It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia" style intervention with the guys behind the next Xbox by going to their grave with guns and shout "Stop digging, put the shovel down, and GTFO of your grave, time for an intervention! Intervention! Intervention!"

I don't even want to hear the next thing Microsoft has to say about their Xbox. Every time I read something I think it's horrible and I think that they aren't going to top it. Then somebody posts more new info about it, and it just keeps amazing me. Anybody have any guess as to how they can top it at this point? I keep thinking they aren't going to top the last thing but they just keep doing it. I can't think of consumers responding well to anything. We won't let you buy pre-owned games, we'll try to make you watch more advertisements, and you can't play games without online. Sounds like "Screw customers" to me. Ad revenue gets us more money and we are trying to maximize the game maker's profits. I can live with the game maker's side, but ads? Ads are a declaration of war for me, I will not have ads, you can leave that to cable TV and satellite which die more every day.

I hope Microsoft fails so hard!

Gamer's need to show them that we don't want this shit and not support them by buying their system. I did my part so far, I un-subscribed to their 'spam' email about the Xbox One they were sending me. I had gave them my email address back when I tried out the one month of free Xbox Live for 360, two weeks into the free month I cancelled that shit.

I've been trading games since I was like 12, and the non Gamestop places I trade to around here is not gonna be all 'Microsoft Certified' trading places either. Sure maybe something needs to change for the game designers to profit from resales, but this is not the way to do it.

bungholio, Mez, I think you two speak for all of us.

That extremely stupid always online crap is going to push a lot of people away, they are too focused on TV instead of what they should be; video games. Why can't it be like the days of 8 & 16 bit games, plug & play, no stupid updates every few weeks or slow loading times (although I understand that newer consoles have a lot of data to load into RAM) no required installs or "you must update your system before you can play this game". One good thing about a softmodded Wii with priiloader, block online/disc updates. I really don't know what else to say about this, the first home console that I know of to first receive updates was the Xbox, then everybody else has to do it.

        Even more BS: http://www.lazygamer.net/24/microsof...-xbox-one-drm/
You even have to make sure it is connected to the net at least once every 24 hours! If not, you can't play anything!
        Talk about suicide.
Fail, fail, fail is written all over it.
I hope someone hacks the **** out of it!

Big companies really like to see how much they can screw their customers, don't they? Cell phone companies force you to buy minutes and then take them away without compensation if you haven't used them by the end of the month. Cable/satellite services charge an arm & a leg, yet still allow something like 20% of your viewing time to be taken up by commercials. And now Micro$oft will force you to "check in" online every day just so you can keep playing games you already own on a console which you spent too much money for. And that will probably only be feasible with a high-speed connection.

Meanwhile our government takes away our freedoms, allows evil corporations to make laws, and imprisons people for victimless crimes. Humans are objects, not people, in the eyes of the greedy.

At what point did we decide to permanently assume a bent-over position?

At the point where the greedy sucked up enough money from "people" and gained more influence than "people". Need to make money, and not concerned who's money they are taking. Money is power to control. Just avoid them if possible. If they become the only option I still settle with nothing.

I don't plan on buying any new system for a long time (till its hacked hehe), besides the price of a new system being ridiculous I definitely don't like the way this Xbox is handling games. Until there is a drastic change in the restrictions I won't be owning any future Xbox. Once its been released I will just install the glitch hack on my 360's and just play with homebrew and all the other good tools like hacking.

Idiotic, to say the least. What person in their right mind what want an even more restricted console?

I mean that's why they are hacked in the first place is for the freedom to use it how you want to.

I hope nobody is getting the XB1 at launch. Wait 6 months or so and hopefully they'll release a bundle without goddamn Kinect. The only policy still standing in the way of the XB1 being an acceptable next gen console is forcing everyone to keep that POS plugged in. If they don't, it will inevitably get modded to work without it or someone will make a dongle to fake the system into working and prove the fucker isn't required.

The industry has gone to shit. They under-print everything now. Used cartridge games never jumped to $50+ each when they fucking went out of print. The constant limited editions, another complete shit console launch with expected shortages. This industry is only catering to resellers, whether they intend to or not. Way to go assholes. Drive up demand, so some assclown can resell XB1s on ebay for $1000+ each. Real profitable holiday season that'll be. Then we have these fucking publishers gouging for DLC. $60 for a game and $40 for a few MAPS!? fuck off. L4D DLC is like free on PC, but it's still 20 fuckin dollars on XBL and NEVER goes on sale? Ok, then. Day1 DLC for sale instead of releasing a complete game in the fucking first place. Let us not forget all the trolls and complete assholes you have to deal with on XBL, along with little kids playing M rated fuckin games. Don't give us a proper option to completely avoid someone forever, an option to NOT get matched "family" (kids) accounts, or even an option to lock our goddamn friends list from random friend requests so we don't have to delete them constantly. Yep, I love where the industry is going. Don't you?

Not to mention expected shortages for both consoles. It's 2013 and these idiots still can't have a console launch where all the people who want to reserve one actually get one. Why is that? Oh, the same reason Forza etc will have incomplete discs that require a download to work. They insist on rushing these consoles out for holiday 2013 instead of actually making enough to fill demand before launch. How does releasing for the holidays make them anymore money if they can't meet the demand anyway? I'm glad I'm sitting out this launch same as I did last generation. I'll decide what to get and when in 6 months or so. What the hell is wrong with releasing in September or earlier? It's not a goddamn seasonal item or the annual CoD game that they can easily press a few billion copies of to actually take advantage of the holiday rush. Shortages don't benefit the stores or consumers. They only serve to benefit the pricks that turn around and sell them on ebay for double or triple the price. Yet, if a regular store does the same thing, they'd probably get into all kinds of shit over it.
