Ever had your username stolen?

I was searching my username with Google & found out that some idiot at a site called Roblox stole my username! Don't be fooled by this, that is NOT me. I would never sign up with a childish site like that! Now I'm a little ticked off, has anyone else been done this way before?

Before my username was "Demonic722," it was just "Demonic" so to distinguish myself from those, I added the "722." It was difficult for me to obtain that username on every site and to keep things uniform, I sent a PM to the Admins of those sites that I had joined so that my username could be changed from "Demonic" to "Demonic722."

In the end, I can't really say that it was stolen because if anyone had stolen the username "Demonic," it was probably me and 999,999 others.

Thanks for deleting it.

It's a good thing to have unique usernames, that way people know who you are aside from the others

I also just sent Roblox an email request to ask the thief to change the username. They instantly sent me an email saying they would reply within 48 hours.

Well I created that username back in 2011, & this kid joined in 2012 so...
Also I haven't seen that username anywhere else that I'm not signed up with, so I had it first. Just wanted to verify that.

Off topic:
And since you said your kid plays that, that made me think: I would probably have a kid too if wasn't so shy around girls, this hot brunette was really into me & I was so shy I could barely talk around her. (sigh) If I only would have only took the chance she'd be mine. Now she already has a someone.

I would never post a picture of who I really am, I don't think the Google team would lie. The notice about my gmail being hacked was right at the top of the Google search page, if it ever happens again I'll post the proof with a pic.

Yea my username is taken all over the internets.
Here and just a few other sites I use Mezmorize, everywhere else I'm Mezmorizingmage.

Created my username back in 2005 while starting my very first MMORPG, Final Fantasy XI.
I wanted something easy to memorize, so I thought, hmm I'll just try Memorize.
That username was taken so I just stuck a Z in it lol.

Me and my then current girlfriend's 'song' was Mesmerize so I thought it was a pretty good choice at the time. After that I went to make a Yahoo mail account and Mezmorize was taken. Since my job was a White Mage in Final Fantasy, I just picked Mezmorizingmage.

Well they did reply back, here is what they said:

We understand that you are presently using this username else where in the online community. 
However, unless a name is a registered trademark and we are requested by the entity that owns the username as a trademark, 
we would not be able change the account name.
