ya I have been off and on in talks with him .. but hes not easy to get ahold of.
Very busy.. there are a few things we have talked about in the past.. but like pyriel said since about 2008 hes been kind of away.
he's kind of just left the site in mine and pyriels hands. and has given me access to some other stuff but its still limited and is also down right now .. but it should be back up soon but can never tell with out full confirmation from the man that pays the bills :P

I do have the backups of the forum .. but its not anything to new (7months or so).. I was having issues with the MYSQ admin and needed his help from the server side of things.. so if and when it comes back im hoping pyriel might be able to give me a hand .. and fix some stuff..

Makes sense. As always, we're here if you need anything.

That was more a whinge. For whatever reason, UCF has always been somewhat protective of the site, even if he hasn't had a lot of interest in it since about 2008. I wouldn't want to force him out of it, so, for my part, it's staying where it is until he either stops paying the bills or agrees that it's time for someone more interested to take ownership.

If someone on CMP admin staff has a recent backup of CMP and wants to mirror it on our server, I'm quite willing to grant them an account. However, I'd want either GM0, UCF, or both to give it their approval before GH officially endorses it. Until then, it will simply be an emergency/backup mirror.

Well, UCF-Codemaster (Seb), the guy who owns the place, pretty much pays the bills and pops in once or twice a year. Skiller, Bfoos, and I are all admins, and none of us have access to the hosting account or any contact with the host. And I haven't seen or spoken to UCF in like 3 years, myself. Unless he changed hosting, it's still a small German company that's friendly to him, and they don't really pay much attention. It'll probably be back up in a few hours, whenever they notice it, or somebody gets Seb's attention.

LB had offered to host the site before, but Seb was against the idea for some reason. Although, honestly, if you wanted to mirror it and lead an exodus, I don't think he'd care, and I doubt any of the admins would mind much.

    Why would anybody hate CMP?
They're probably just jealous they're codes aren't as good, I wonder if a GSC member is behind this.

    Codemasters Project... down?

http://codemasters-project.net seems to have been down all day for me. Does anyone know if something in particular is happening or if it's just a fluke?
Working...
