I don't think 3d is going to hurt the game at all.

I'm not really sure if FF3DS is Final Fantasy VI, or what.

I'd say, having read it, that it'd actually be the original FFIII. I'm amazed it's taken this long for them to do anything with it. 3D shouldn't hurt it, unless they're making some massive changes to the game. Of course if they didn't people would complain. Looking at the screenshots, I'm not sure how much it'd be like the original. The main thiong would be how much they change the battle system... I do admit that there's some problems with the original, but those are mostly due to the limitations of the NES.

from what ive read they are making major changes to the gameplay. all enemies have a "shield" or something which you have to destroy before you can actually damage them. im not 100%sure, but i believe its something like that.

as for the graphics, im really bummed about the 3d. i wish it was gonna be for gba not the ds, and it would have the same graphics as ffoS. and with the remake of ff4 coming out for the gba, and id prolly put money on it that they will release 5 and 6 for gba as well, it would be great to have 1-6 all on gba.

but the graphic (even though 3d) at least are really nice from what ive seen. they really remind me of ff:cc for gc.

but i guess im gonna have to buy a ds afterall. not only for this, but the new castlevania.
