Why, Windows 8 is supposed to be no good? I was actually surprised how quickly Windows 8 came out after Windows 7. I know W8 was in development at the time of W7's release, but it just seems that it was released too quickly/soon after W7.Last edited by OldSchoolGamer; 09-21-2012, 11:19:00 PM.Now broadcasting from the underground command post. I wouldn't say that it isn't good, but if you're buying a new PC, you might as well get one with a touch screen monitor to fully enjoy Windows 8.Last edited by Demonic722; 09-22-2012, 09:01:05 AM.I only bother with things that interest me.

Touch screen monitor? Welcome to the tired arms age!
Unless those monitors come with the new Feel Screens or you're a cashier, I don't see any particular instance where raising my arm and touching the screen will be faster or better than just using the mouse.
Could you imagine the stained screens after watching pron?
Stay with XP or win7 really. That is unless you are an early adopter (I know you're not) and want to have the newest operating system that will also be filled with bugs and security issues, which is normal with new (and huge) programs.Last edited by ReyVGM; 09-23-2012, 10:54:36 AM.

Welcome to the present and the future! The technology is available, so having it as an alternative option is a great feature.Originally posted by ReyVGM View PostTouch screen monitor? Welcome to the tired arms age!

Microsoft will stop releasing security updates and stop supporting Windows XP soon. So I definitely would never get a computer with an operating system that is not 1, but 2 releases old. I'm going to get the newest operating system which is Windows 8. Hopefully by Christmas, Microsoft has ironed out a good amount of bugs. It will be alil more than two months after it's official public release. Plus "Microsoft Update" can always fix most bugs through their online update service. I just hope that Windows 8 is not shitty like Window Vista was.Stay with XP or win7 really.
I probably would never use that touchscreen feature. But knowing me, I'll still get it but I probably will never utilize it. As Rey stated, it would be more trouble moving my arm and touching the screen than just moving the mouse.you might as well get one with a touch screen monitor to fullyenjoy Windows 8.Last edited by OldSchoolGamer; 09-23-2012, 08:01:09 PM.Now broadcasting from the underground command post. Yeah, just wait until Feel Screens are released, that way you can not only watch pron, but feel it also!
