Is this petition real or is it just one of the thousands of false petitions for various topics that tries to draw traffic to it's website to make money?

This is just ridiculous... Obama Signed ACTA even though he was against SOPA. Oh, and he let us see his troll face.

Looking up ACTA, the details that are available are quite astonishing. Perhaps the most alarming issue is the refusal of all parties to reveal most details of ACTA, citing "national security" as an excuse. Should representatives of the people be passing legislature that is primarily unknown to the people, "for our own good"?

Yea, it's kind of shady. There's more that meets the eye.... well obviously there is since most details are not being revealed.

Just thinking... the government was successful in decreasing free online downloads of songs when they took action to prevent sites like Limewire, Napster, Bearshare, etc. from spreading those songs illegally. I remember everyone I knew used to burn their own CDs after downloading free songs. Now most of them pay for each song or they have a paid subscription to a music service. So the government was successful in their quest. It looks like this success may happen again with the issues at hand today.

I'm far more concerned with what this will do to the internet in general, especially indirectly.
