Did someone on something awful draw this as a joke? This looks like a 4th grade art project that a comic company paid for and they're now defunct.

Sorry for the necromancy, but has anybody else seen the new GSCCC/CMGSCCC/CodeTwink redesign? The design direction must have been "create a circuit board inspired by dude-bro FPSes and convert that into a Word Press theme with some tacked-on, hardcore rap references." I can't imagine Eminem actually approved the use of his likeness for this.

I wonder if they will try to make a Xbox360 version. Knowing microsofts past they might release a update that disables the peripheral. The PS3 version sounds nice tho.

I'll wait and hope for a big surprise. He keeps saying it'll be great, there must be some kind of reason I hope.

It's much easier and less of a hassle to distribute and resign a save then to inject a cheat engine into execution. Actually, and legally.

So he went from a cheat device Codefreak to a save editor? What the hell? What happened? I doubt Sony would just knowingly *allow* them to plug a device into the USB port and do whatever, so they found a way around something. Why a save editor instead of a cheat device? They are miles apart in what they can do. I don't like them even calling it a cheat device. Call it a save editor. It can allow some cheating, but it's just editing a game save file. Aside from little things developers accidentally leave in that allow you to do actual cheating like the crazy stuff for Nazi Zombies in CoD World At War, all you can do is skip to getting things done now rather than later. All a game developer would need to do is leave goodies out of save data and the save editor would be doing nothing more than speeding up the process of obtaining things.

You know what would deter many online cheaters in some popular games? Offer to unlock say weapons or levels or characters or whatever at a price just like what the hackers did with a jtagged xbox did for call of duty (myself included hehe). Many people pay these hackers to get them into a hacked lobby or game and then get the achievements or unlocks, if they offered this to the public it wouldn't be cheating now would it? Since you're paying for legit content from the developer.

I like these current gen cheat devices for the sake of enhanced gameplay and completing the gaming experience on otherwise hard games. But using them to cheat online and get trophies you don't deserve is disgraceful.

PS3 Game Genie Save Editor by Hyperkin to Debut at E3, July Launch
Previously we reported on several other PS3 cheating devices, and today Kotaku has announced that a modern-day Game Genie Save Editor by Hyperkin for the PlayStation 3 is slated to debut at E3 2012 and launch in July offering maximum lives and more.
Apparently it works through a USB flash drive that contains an installation program that allows you to transfer save files between the PS3 and PC.
A PC program in the USB drive will write cheats onto your save files allowing you to then transfer the edited save files from PC back to the PS3. It also will include a continuously updated server that adds new codes to the newest games.
To quote: "The Game Genie works by modifying save data with cheat codes that unlock a variety of possibilities. The Game Genie: Save Editor for PS3 is the first code device amongst any competitor's products that actually manipulates save files and works for the PS3. Hyperkin will debut the Game Genie: Save Editor for PS3 at E3, the premier trade show for the video game industry.
Located in Booth #417 in the South Hall, the Hyperkin booth will offer E3 attendees the opportunity to see firsthand the kinds of cheats available for several blockbuster games such as Uncharted 3, Batman: Arkham City, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Twisted Metal, Street Fighter X Tekken and Final Fantasy XII-2. Attendees will get to experience the power of maximum lives, ammo, power-ups and unlocked levels that make any game easily beatable.
The Game Genie: Save Editor for PS3 comes in a USB flash drive that contains an installation program that allows users to transfer save files between the PS3 and the PC. Players can use the PC program in the USB drive in order to write cheats onto their save files. Players can then transfer the edited save files from their PC back onto their PS3 to enjoy a powered-up game file. The Game Genie PC program works through a continuously updated server that adds the newest codes for the newest games.
Update: They're hoping to release it in the first week of July, a company rep tells me."
