This is a huge issue that seems to have occurred more prolifically than one would expect. Basically, if you view some websites, especially news-related ones, with a phone or other mobile device, they redirect you to the mobile version of their site. However, most of them don't redirect you to the corresponding address of the specific page you were attempting to view; they redirect you to their main page, forcing you to start there and dig down to the page you were trying to view. On large news sites this proves to be ridiculously tedious, especially using a mobile device and a badly-implemented mobile web site design, so I usually just give up, or look to another site for the information I desire. As mentioned in the last sentence, the mobile design is also usually quite terrible.
It shows a total lack of knowledge on the part of the web developers involved, or at the very least, a lack of concern. It really pisses me off.
