The first game released for the system was NAM-1975, shortly followed by Cyber Lip, Magician Lord, Sengoku (after1 month time period)
Most popular game series for Neo Geo are : King of Fighters,Metal Slug and Samurai Shodown.

If I remember right, the Sega Game Gear came with Columns in the US. The Nintendo Game Boy came with Tetris. For the Sega Master System, in the early days, it was pack with Hang-On? (I'm not so sure about this.)

For the Atari 2600, I can only tell you the late Atari 2600 that was repackage for around $50.00 dollars release prior to the NES. That Atari 2600 came with only the console and a single joystick. No pack in game.

For the Neo Geo, the earliest brand new Neo Geo came with only the console and a single joystick controller. No pack in game or memory card, they were sold seperately. I recall there used to be a game store in Old Country Road at Connecticut (had long been out of business) that actually promoted this system pre-launch with flyers. The initial pre-launch games that were promoted with pics were: Baseball Stars Professional, Nam 1975 and Magician Lord. Other titles like Fatal Fury, Cyber Lip, Ninja Combat, Blue's Journey were all release in the first year after launch.
