  • Emulators screen refresh rate question?

I have an Intel Pentium 4, 3.0 ghz with HT (Hyper Threading) technology, 128 mb ATI Radeon X300 SE video card, Sound Blaster Live! 24-Bit sound card, and a 17 inch LCD. My LCD screen refresh rate is 75 hertz and I have my resolution at 1024x768 32-bit color.

So my question is that should I change Nestopia's default setting of Timing Options Speed from 60 to 75? Is the timing options > speed "60 default setting" mean its the 60 hertz refresh rate? Meaning does Nestopia's Timing speed option mean the same thing as screen refresh rate? Or does it mean something else?

So should I change Snes9X and Nestopia default setting of 60 hertz to 75 hertz since my LCD refresh rate is 75 hertz?

Will changing the emulator's screen refresh rate to 75 hertz speed up the game? All emulator's default refresh rate is basically 60 hertz. My LCD monitor's refresh rate is 75 hertz. So is it best to change the emulators' screen refresh rate to match my LCD monitor's refresh rate? I don't want the game to speed up. I want to play the game in the real speed in which it was made for.
