  • Marble Madness 2...

I know there was a sequel to Marble Madness that came out on an arcade game called Marble Madness 2. I don't think anyone has the ROM to it. I've read many different stories and reasons why there is no ROM available for Marble Madness 2. Does anyone know the real reason why there is no ROM for it?

If there isn't a ROM dump of a game, it's because no one has been able to locate a machine for it yet. Specially when a game was never released to the public. Maybe one day.

You actually came in to this world after almost everything has been dumped already. You weren't around the days when there were still "rare", unknown or undumped games. When NES emus still struggled with emulation, when SNES emus couldn't display transparencies and when there were like 15 different Arcade emulators and each emulated something different.

I heard that the creater of the game owned one of the only arcade machines of marble madness 2 and the machine broke and he made a deal with atari (or some company) that if they fixed his arcade machine for free, that he would not release the marble madness 2 rom. I don't know if that is true and it doesn't make sense to me because why would atari care if he released the game or not

Particularly if they're considering releasing the game as a retro throwback on something like Wii, or doing a revamp and including the original version.

Marble Madness 2 looks pretty cool when I watched it on youtube. Marble Madness was a classic. I wish there were more levels to it though.
