What are some great, not well known games for NES/SNES/Genesis? For example, one of my gems for NES, that is not very well known is "Little Nemo: The Dream Master". One of my sporting game gems for NES is "Bad News Baseball". More obvious games are (NES) Bubble Bobble, (Genesis) Toe Jam & Earl, and (Genesis) Pigskin Footbrawl. I'd like to hear people's suggestions/opinions on what are some diamond in the ruff games (Gems) that are not completely obvious for NES/SNES/Genesis.

Wrath Of The Black Manta for Nintendo. I really liked the many different enemies and my very different ninja attacks of vanishing and moving around as a shadow, going underground and popping up behind enemies, shadow clones, saving kidnapped children, strange hidden secret doors you access by going to certain areas and holding DOWN or UP or something, and everything else. I loved the game play and still do.
EVO (or was it Evolution?) for Super Nintendo. At first the game was murdering me until I realized the game allowed me to "evolve" from the simple fish to certain other ones from eating them. I could give myself giant fins to get around faster, killer sharp teeth, or whatever. Then you change from fish to other things as you go through levels. You get to land, become this and that, a monkey, a bird, eventually a human if you wish. Great game. You build yourself how you want to as you progress through it, and you can repeat easier stages to build of evolution points so you didn't get killed by mega tough fish and other animals later on.

What are some games that their gameplay are similar to (Genesis) Golden Axe? The Golden Axes are one of my favorite Genesis games. I'd like to know if their are any games similar to them for Genesis or SNES?Now broadcasting from the underground command post. Deep in the bowels of a hidden bunker. Ok sorry, I forgot. I don't know how to move this thread to the Forum: Computer Game Hacking, General Gaming, & Emulation. Otherwise I would move it to the proper Forum. If you know how to move it, go for it.Now broadcasting from the underground command post. Deep in the bowels of a hidden bunker. Somewhere under the brick & steel of a nondescript building. I'm having a hard time thinking of some great MAME games. It's been so long since the arcade days. I remember: Simpsons, X-Men, Narc, Golden Axe, House of the Dead, Lethal Enforcers, Ikari Warriors, Double Dragon, Gauntlet, Ivan Stewart's Super Off-Road, NBA Hangtime, WWF Wrestling, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and lets not forget my Jerry Glanville's Pigskin Footbrawl (Still hoping someone will make Genesis game genie codes for that game that will let you start the game with trolls or have the CPU start with trolls). Those are basically all the great classics I remember from the arcade games. I'm sure I am forgetting a bunch. Can someone please refresh my memory and tell me what other great MAME games that are out there? ThanksLast edited by OldSchoolGamer; 04-26-2011, 09:21:04 PM.Now broadcasting from the underground command post. Deep in the bowels of a hidden bunker. (SNES) Knights of the Round. Also found on MAME. It is a good game. It is very similar to Golden Axe. If you like Golden Axe, you have to like this as well. Now broadcasting from the underground command post. Deep in the bowels of a hidden bunker. I was thinking about posting a thread regarding "Amazing Feats in NES history" but ill just post it in this thread. No cheat codes allowed in amazing feats. I know my feats probably won't compare to some of your feats but here are 3 amazing feats that I can think of that I accomplished:
1. (SNES) Zelda: A Link to the Past - I beat this game without ever saving it. I know it's not that difficult to do, but it takes time, patience, and dedication. It is alot easier to get from one side of the map to the other by just "quit & save" and then start the game at the choices given. So without saving it, the game takes alittle bit longer to beat.
2. (NES) Bad News Baseball - I hit back to back homeruns consecutively at the start of the game with my whole lineup (all 9 players). Meaning I hit 9 back to back (consecutive) homeruns in a row. You have a better chance of hitting the lottery than doing that. I don't think that feat will ever be duplicated or beaten.
3. (NES) NES Open Tournament Golf - I hit a negative 20 (-20) or better in all three courses (US, Japan, UK). I couldn't find anyone that came close to that. Some good gamers struggle just to hit a Zero.Last edited by OldSchoolGamer; 04-28-2011, 03:20:27 PM.Now broadcasting from the underground command post. Deep in the bowels of a hidden bunker. I beat Secret of Mana in about 6 hours total from start to finish one Sunday afternoon on my real SNES and no cheats. I can't figure out how I did it but since I played the game sooooooooo many times I knew the ways to skip certain story parts to go faster.Spoiler Alert! Click to view...
THE BAD GUY!!!!!!
