  • What game controller do you reccommend?

I am looking to buy a video game controller that can plug into my PC so I can play NES, SNES, and Sega Genesis with a controller instead of using my keyboard. I am looking to buy one controller that can be used for all 3 of those emulators on my pc. Any suggestions onto which controller I should buy?

I usually get/recommend something by Logitech. Something with the same button layout at a PS2/PS3 is usually the best, and I can generally figure out a way to assign buttons for any system.

Ok because I want to go to GameStop today and buy a controller that I can use for Nintendo, Super Nintendo, and Sega Genesis emulators on my computer

I purchased a USB game controller called "Steel Series" from GameStop for $9.99. It looks like a ps1 controller but with a couple extra buttons such as turbo button and a clear button. I don't know what those 2 buttons do. It doesn't have the two analog joysticks but I don't need them

Ah, cool. I usually use the sticks for N64 games, but if you're sticking to 16-bit and below, I guess you should be fine without them.

You could always buy an authentic SNES or PS1 controller and get a USB adapter that lets you connect them to the computer.

yea i heard about that. But when I saw that a brand new controller was only $9.99, i figured ya can't beat that. I don't know how much a USB adapter cost but it's prob around the same price. So I'd rather have a new controller than a USB adapter, ya know

I'm assuming I can use my Mouse instead of my game controller to play first person shooting games such as Duck Hunt, House of the Dead, etc.
