  • Graphics of emulator...

This may sound like a dumb question but do all ROMS have the same graphics. For example, If I download Streets of Rage from coolroms.com and then i download Streets of Rage again from a different website. Will they have the same graphics? or are there some websites that have better graphics for their ROM Games. Also what determines the graphics, the ROM or the emulator? I believe its the emulator that determines the graphics but not positive. I know this must sound really dumb to most of you, sorry.

emulator determines the graphics as for the roms all of them r the same graphics but make sure they end like this example Streets of Rage [U]!.bin

why does it have to be *.bin at the end? I download my ROMS at coolrom.com. Is that a good, safe site to download ROMS?

My 3 emulators are: Nintendo - Nestopia, Super Nintendo - ZSNES, Sega Genesis - Fusion.

Do those 3 emulators have the best graphics? If not, which emulator has better graphics?

        This is retarded...

What are you talking about "best graphics"? The graphics depend on the original console the game was made in, not the ROM dump or emulator. If you download a ROM wherever, it will be the exact same dump with the exact same "graphics".

If by graphics you mean the colors the emulators display, then all emus will display the same colors, except the NES ones because no one has figured out what the true color output of NES games is.

Also, wrong forum to post this topic.

Ok thanks I didn't know that. So Sonic the Hedgehog will look the same on any of the Genesis emulators and Super Mario World will look the same on any of the Super Nintendo emulators. So only the NES games will look slightly different on different NES emulators because of the color output you mentioned. Correct?

There are also graphics filters that can be applied in some emulators (2XSAL, etc), that may smooth or sharpen graphics, which may or may not look better in some games. Personally, I don't bother with them.
