  • "Cheat Forums" becoming more popular?

I've been noticing that there are more & more "cheat forums" popping up lately.

    This site (http://gshi.org)
    World of Nintendo
    Video Game Chat
    WiiRd

And I'm sure there's a few others that I missed. Are cheat forums going to wind up taking over the old html/php based CMS sites out there? Discuss.

I don't think it's because of being more popular. There are many of them out there that we don't know of (i.e., Japanese sites). Some of them have been around for a very long time, such as the GSHI, CMP (Codemasters Project), XFX (XploderFreaX) and World of Nintendo (wasn't there a gaming magazine of the same name? I'm also sure that I recall seeing an older website of the same name that housed Game Genie codes). Depending on the achievements made for the console (i.e., PS3 being cracked) or certain games released for it (i.e., Grand Theft Auto 3 on the PS2), is when you see a decent amount of activity on them causing them to be more well-known in the gaming/hacking worlds. The examples I pointed out are sometimes the reason they are created in the first place. I don't know much about the CMS stuff, as I've never made a website of my own (sad, really).
