What I mean making an image in an html page of sorts and then have certain 'areas' of that image clickible and such?

What am I looking to do? Well simple, get a map of the state N.C. and set up on it areas and such that mean somehting to me, and put as you 'click' those little 'dots' it goes to another page with images, of the area and me and such, and a little about that area and why I added it. (Some places all over the state and such, but not alot as far as a whole US state would make you think.)

So maybe something for me to mess with, well if anyone can please tell me how you do 'that' to an image and such.

Okay, I'm severly drunk after my hahahehekekefufufufufufufu that's a very very impressive image map there. I've never seen one that good that wasn't a flash swf file to start with. Doing something like that with a map isn't too incredibly hard, as all it requires is fining a decent map like what you want it to look like, and then importing it to flash, and tracing over what there already is... Hell, I could do that in a few minutes if I had one of those drawing devices... And it wouldn't be that hard to do with a mouse either... But hey, I admit I'm drunker than RPGod after an unknown 32bit hexidecimal value of a keg's output, so yeah, I'm like fucking drunk. Sorry about it, but I'm quite serious about how easy it is to import that sort of thing, if it's clean and decent to start with. After I saw a recent trailer for the movie "A Scanner Darkly" and even before that, I've been thinking to do really crazy detailed flash-ish anime for the seemingly never to be finished GSHIB0 movie, comming soon to whatever you own, hehe.... In fact, I'm going to work on it now...

No idea, maybe you can set it up as a background for your website, and only make the page as big as the map, then just have clickable buttons in the location you want to be clickable.

Well, I admit, would be some type of project to do, menaing in something that would take awhile and some putting into as that one person did to that Suikoden Map thing. I mean not in a 'bad' way but that Suikoden map thing is good, but you can tell is and was mostly a 'simple paint shop' thing, just the way he was able to have the little red dots clickible is what I am seeking heh

Again nothing wrong with his map, as is, there is not 'official' Suikoden map of the Suikoden whole world from Konami, so he had to make his own, and being it is not a 'real' place had to make it all out of nothing. In my case, heck, I was thinking 'grabbing' an image map of the state and such. I mean I could scan one in from scanner, or grab one from somewhere like the news networks with thsoe little 3D effects of each city and such, as I am sure you all see on yoru enws in your state and such, my only thing is 'how' to get each little dot 'clickible' to a new page and such and thus once done how you can always go back and add more if need be and such.

I once did something 'almost' like that but is was whole different. I ahd a 'my picture' screen saver program is a small program if anyone wants it, still got it, but the thing is, it allowed you to 'list' a folder on yoru harddrive as a screen saver and how long images would stay and such, and what order and mess. Anyway, I had a little map thing of an area I know, and had a little blue 'travel line' and it would show the travel on the map, to a certain point, and then an image of whom you met there. I mean was some of my mess, something sorta like fairies and magic, or to men if you were ever into that mess, that dragons and dungeans mess, no I am not 'crazy' just do not think fairies and magic is all abd like some think it is. So yeah I am strange, but this was way back in 1997, anyway had that program would have the image of the map scanned in, used paint shop to 'draw' a blue line on it. and was like same picture just each one ahd abit more of the blue line going further and further, and would have the images set in order and mess.

Like well, blue line would go to first place and an image of Musa would pop up. (well not Musa, the fairy of music in my sig now, but well, soemthing like that, from my own art stories and comics/anime I made and did alot of, you know) and after Musa or whomever, would have the blue line move some more, and then you'd meet Stella, or such...and so on. Anyway that was some time ago, but sorta similar, I think, err maybe?

Maybe not, but reminds me of those days abit, and wanna do this somehow, you know like each 'dot' on the map comes to an image gallery and little talking about it. I know as I said is a project, but maybe someone would be interesting in seeing or knowing my world a small bit, I do not know, hehe hell maybe I am blowing wind up my own skirt more then anything...but I do not know, just seems strange in an errie way that alot of the US is very similar to well alot of video game scenery.

Like on Super Castlevania 4 (remake really, but hell they still call it #4, that SNES Castlevania, that neat little 'sad' lonely song when Simon is shown the 'map' and is going to the clock tower next. Again maybe I am strange, btu ever sense that game, that tune sorta plays in my head each time I see the clock tower here near me at the chort hosue, and a chort house 'almost' as old as dirt anyway so...well you know, ehh maybe I am nuts, or just love landscape mess too much.

Being I may be nuts with fairies and such and magic and mess little girl mess...ummm maybe I make more snese in LMZ's drunk mode then I do in everyone else's 'normal mode'? :shock:

oh yeah was going to say this, could have edited it in,so SPAM, err but otherwise as is said, like it really matters, hell we all need post counts up. :P In anycase, just so all know, maybe shoudl this even be in the test forum, btu ehh the heck with it, YES I am aware my sig is messed up and not perfect, I am working on it, well trying to. Trying to get each of their names under each of their images, and then their 'powers' under their names, errr the line breaks do not seem to work on ubb so am working on it.

I just passed out today from diabetic coma, so did nto finish, hell may not finish tonight, but am working on it, if it does not drive me so darn crazy trying and testing ti always.
