  • I feel like I'm 13 all over again.

It is awesome. I went into a local store that sells retro games for just about any game system & managed to stock up. I originally went in there to buy an A/C adapter for my Generation 1 Sega Genesis. I saw several games that I wanted to get or that I have never played before.

I found Wonder Boy in Monster World, Rastan Saga 2, & Indiana Jones & the Last Crusade complete & very reasonably priced. The Indiana Jones game's manual & case were in perfect shape (it even had the tab on it where it would hang from). The label of the game look brand-spanking new. I managed to buy it for only $10.00. The manager of the store explained that on Ebay, you'd pay massively for that. It almost made me feel bad that I only paid 10 bucks for it.

I also got: Super Street Fighter 2, Street Fighter 2: Special Champion Edition, Viewpoint, Power Monger, Clue, Aladdin, & 3 others. I can't remember what else I got.

The manager also took one of my games, True Lies & got it working. I bought it in 2002 & never played it until about a month later & then noticed it didn't work. By that time lost the recepit & couldn't return it. I was tempted to throw it away, but held onto it. He got it to working with some rubbing alcohol & cotton swabs. If you ever happen to be in Bayou LaBatre, AL (just outside of Mobile, AL), I highly recommend stopping by Game On. You'll be surprised what you may find in there.
Hacking games is always fun because you don't know what's hidden in the game.

Thats awesome, BigBossman! I think this is one of the main factors for retro gaming: You childhood memories are brought back to life and thus youre kind of rejuvenated. I know I feel like a kid again when:
    a) I first oggle at the retro game in the showcase with wide eyes
    b) buy that game
    c) unwrap it at home
    and last but not least
    d) play it!
Unfortunately by the time its been played a while the magic has somewhat faded away.

Btw, I doubt the last crusade sells much higher on ebay. If you search for "Sega + last crusade" you will find lots of listings that are even slightly under 10 bucks. Some of them are 30 though. Usually for the brand new condition. Ahh, I should probably buy me one of those because I never did finish the last crusade....that big bully in the upper level of the castle always got me.
