I'm not gonna bore the reader by writing a personal review of all the weapons & equipment in this game, just some general hints for new online players. (I play Free-For-All mosta the time, but I've played every mode in the game & will still do so on occasion.)
First, there's the "Combat Training" mode. In this, U or Ur party play against "dummies", computer chars, whose difficulty U can set in "options", as well as time/score limits. In this mode, U can eaasily earn every weapon & feature in the game, so U can choose your faves when playing regular online multiplayer games. Thus, no need to write a weapons review!
A few hints: USE THE RCXD WISELY! While operating this little go-kart, Ur char is completely helpless, except for using the RC. Before deploying it, hide as best U can, in some little-traveled nook. Check for nearby enemies & don't pass one up. U can also use the RC as a poor man's C4, placing it stationary on a busy path. (It makes no sound while stationary.) It will detonate an enemy claymore & be destroyed by it. it can destroy/be destroyed by an enemy RC. When an enemy deploys one, besides avoiding it, look for that enemy. He cannot shoot at U, nor even see U unless his RC is nearby, & U can score a snowbird. But remember, U or an enemy still has sight & control of an RC until it explodes. And, in team play, its powerful blast can often score multikills if there are several enemy team members in the same area.
PLACE CLAYMORES CUNNINGLY! Don't get it in Ur hands until U're ready to deploy it. It's quite a sinking feeling to be surprised by an enemy while U're carrying a claymore & can't shoot! Ur only hope is to deploy the claymore right then if the enemy is in fronta U; it may kill him & let U survive.
Try to make the claymore as invisible as possible by placing it just around a corner, at the foot of stairs, or in tall grass, etc. so enemies will blind-charge into its range without seeing it till too late. Use claymores to cover Ur six as well as alert U to enemy presence if it doesn't kill him.
By pushing the "change stance" button while sprinting, U can go prone very quickly. Be prepared for enemies to do this also.
"Cooked" frag grenades can be Ur best friend against enemies who are behind cover! PRACTICE how long U can "cook" one, especially in "Combat training", so U'll automatically know how long to "cook" one for throws of various distances. U want it to burst as soon as it lands so the enemy can't escape or throw it back.
USE C4 CUNNINGLY! It can be placed outta sight in many places! U can detonate it from anywhere U happen to be! Used with a Camera Spike or Motion Sensor, U can set many a booby trap with it!
In hardcore mode, the Python revolver often kilz with one body shot; the Makarov in two. But Second Chance/SC Pro still work!
Hope this gets some newer players off to a good start! I'll try to furnish more tips as the game is updated
