Saturday Anime & Cartoons what is your Flavor?

Well, pretty much, if you still 'do' watch cartoons/anime on Saturday Mornings, as is, I grew up with it, and am sure most of us did, for awhile there, a few years ago, Saturday Morning cartoons almost became 'non-excentant' (err spelling?) Right before the Poke'mon cartoons came out. But with two or three channels now it seems and is in full bloom, well more or less...some of them I love the best ever, I think, some suck ass hehe so well if you do watch which ones fill your Saturdays? (I know as adults we do not have exactly Saturdays 'free' always, but I work at nights abotu bed time for me anyway so now I pretty much am able to catch them now, and love them, well some of them, anyway the list is.

7AM:

Disney's Doug. It comes on that new channel Nick Toons, and 'news' boring news is on 'local' channels, so Doug gets my time then for that hour, two shows of it. (News not exactly boring, but well you know they REPEAT pretty much the same news for it seems a couple of days at a time, watch the news at 11 PM, or 10 PM, and you watched the news for 5 am, 6 am, and 7 am as well, unless the world fell apart that night or so. But mostly, ehh same boring crap for a couple of days...so anyway.

8AM:

Mew Mew Power OR Jackie Chan's Adventures.... I choose Mew Mew Power, sorta like a 'Sailor Moon/Card Captor' type anime/cartoon where they use those Sailor Moon 'power pendants to become cat women--- >^_^< Meow... on the other channel...ehh well Jackie Chan---- Sorry he is OLD, and over used too much now, besides his 'cartoons' are old mess now, was 'Okay' in 1998...but now some 7 years old...it is time maybe to end that mess.

8:30AM:

Winx Club OR Jackie Chan Adventures (again) Okay well done and said what 'crap' jackie Chan is, not himself, but that cartoon, just too darn old and boring now, But this is the best time for me, my favorite one The Winx Club comes on (reruns due to now fall yet and not a new season yet, but reruns are good) as is is my favorite one of the day. So far my favorite cartoon/anime at this time.

9 AM:

Winx Club OR Xiolin Showdown, Okay still gotta stick with my favorite cartoon of the time, The Winx Club, but Xiolin is not a bad cartoon, pretty fun and funny really.

9:30 AM:

Xiolin Showdown OR Sonic X, at this time I change the channel from Fox to the WB (Winx a Fox thing which has some great cartoons as does the WB, but well as is some are better then others, and as is, hell Sonic X cartoons suck major ass, they really need to kill off that crap fast.) PLUS Xiolin Showdown are NEW shows, so that is always good.

10 AM:

Poke'mon OR Sonic X, again Sonic SUCKS ASS, and is pretty stupid, yeah Sonic old games were good, but this new mess...give me a break kill that mascot and make somehting really cool. I turn to Poke'mon, I like Poke'mon, it is neat and rather cool even to this day. Plus it is NEW also.

10:30 AM:

The Batman (new cartoon now on) OR Teenage Mutant Nija Turtles..... and a small bit about 'ninja turtles...ehh well, stupid stupid STUPID, look at the reviews of those games. Yes I must say, heck Ninja Turtles were 'Okay' back in the day, but they tried one too many 'failed' come backs first come back was in comic book format by 'Stan Lee' he bought the rights and tried a go at it, said it sucked ass and sold the mess to some other dupe. I mean hell stupid turtles, you can buy those rights for like a few dollars, I'd bet. I am sorry but in all seriousness, this 'new' turtle mess really does bite ass, as well as suck ass to. :roll: I go for the new blood on the tube, The Batman, which is yea a 'guys' cartoon, but is rather good, I'd say. It even makes me miss those 'older' Batman cartoons that came on when gosh I was in high school, Batman, and then years later BatMan beyone (they used to revive that older Batman cartoon, back in the Batman Byone days, but not seen it in a while now. and those tboth were some rather nice cartoons, I thought, yeah a boy thing, but heck, they say video games are boy thigns too. :P )

11 AM:

Yu-Gi-Oh OR One Piece ...ummm Okay BOTH of these are rather shit, so at that time, I look for other things then TV to do, Yu-Gi-Oh wow, the Japanese want to rip off yet ANOTHER culture because they just cannot stand their own, I mean yes is pretyt much the way they are, soem anime Okay and good, but those that rip off other cultures is STUPID, I mean the thing like most anime is, let's make anime people with big eyes because ours are slanted, lets give them all blue hair, and blonde hair and pink hair because all we have is black...really anime is an art at times, but in most cases as I see it it is in fact the Japanese disliking their very own culture because they always ripp off some other culture, with Yu-gi-ohh-shit, it is Eygpt and now Atlantis, but on that other channel, One Piece, somehting also as stupid, a 'rubber' pirate boy who fights mer-men...now really is any of this shit possible even in an anime world? hell, I'd be more liekly to believe the Sailor Moon story then this crap, and Sailor Moon WAS out there. :roll: Rubber People...if anyone can pull that off in style, it IS the Fantasic 4 movie due out soon, now some stupid cartoon crap like this mess...really, some mess in the world is just so stupid sadly.

11:30AM:

Well, I stopped wathcing by then, but still more silly stupid crap still gets aired, so I see in the DTV guild. Kirby and MegaMan Capcom VS Nintendo.... ehh well too bad those both suck ass as well, as is it IS that MegaMan NT warror crap, wow the net needs a hero and it is megaman...geeez again, let's get abit real even in cartoons out there capcom, this idea is stupid, go abck to old MegaMan, yeah it was old, but this new MegaMan crap just makes it that much worst, really it does. And 'Kirby' well this is pure shit of a cartoon also, just pure and simple one word----shit. :roll: :P

So anyway I gave some sorta reviews there, my own opinions so you know, but in anycase, what do you watch, if you do?

I don't get any tv stations where I live.. lol, and I live in the middle of my town. :P We don't have cable, and no matter what kind of antenna I use, we can't get any network stations. It's good though, I was tired of people always watching annoying crap while I'm in here on the computer.

If there's something I really wanna watch though, I can always just go to my friend's house or something.

Saturday morning cartoons. Well, I like doug, saturday morning or whenever. But the last saturday morning kid show that I seen was a power rangers show. I can't remember which spinoff it was but it was a special episode that had all the Red Power rangers return. For some reason only Red Rangers were able to defeat a monster. It was worthy of being more than one episode but ABC don't seem to wanna run those due to Powerangers coming on only once a week. So it was just one episode.

I do watch the Power Rangers Dino Thunder on A disney cable channel tho. Main reason because one of the original Powe rangers "Tommy, the green ranger" is on it. The final episode he was on he was saying his dream was to be a race car driver and thats what he supposingly became. But in Dino Thunder he is a school teacher instead. But bringing the old guys back is a good idea, and it's the only reason I wanna watch Power Rangers still. Nostolgia and such.

I definitely prefer the old Doug to the Disney one, I must say...but anyway...

I remember every saturday I used to watch X-Men (not the new one), then Spiderman (again, not the new one), and when Batman: TAS still came on afterward, I watched that, too. Now I have the entire collection of all of them (evil laugh of joy)...heh.

Lately...bleh, I don't watch TV at all, really...if I do, I just turn it to PBS, if I need background sound to sleep, or while I'm doing something on my laptop that doesn't require me to pay much attention...

Lately I read a lot, when I have time...and it's mostly technical manuals I seem to spend time on.

I used to watch cartoons and such in the past, but now I am not really able to do so, which sucks... Me, I want to be able to watch the Smurfs and such at whatever hour they happen to be on, not just whenever I can notice that's not also when my parents are around... Strikes me as being that I should somehow download every episode and put them on a dvd or three as the needs may be... Quite insane really, being able to put stuff onto a dvd, or even making a real dvd that's playable in a dvd player...

It is no longer worth it to get up on Saturday mornings to watch cartoons anymore.
The only cartoon that I bother to slog out of bed to watch now is Kirby:Right Back At Ya! that is, if Fox isn't fucking with the Saturday morning programming schedule they have the annoying habit of doing. I can't get enough of the evil penguin ruler King DDD and his loyal snail companion, Escargoon. :lol:
I used to watch the mildly amusing Ultimate Muscle on Fox too but they took that off.
Nowadays, I'd rather just roll over and sleep in until noon the get up to watch EastEnders on PBS...

I do wonder now what the 'Real One Piece' is like, I mean it is a cool 'sounding story', sounds kinda like that Suikoden 4 game (why is everyone now doing the 'water' and pirate thing I also wonder really.) I live near the ebach, yes at times boats are fun, and so are ferries, and all the shore and 'wtater' life has to offer, but staying on a boat for well how ever long you can move your thumbs is kinda not fun after awhile, I see nothing but 'blue' wahhhhhhh you know. Needless to say, I'd not make a very good sailor on any ship going anywhere if is was over a few hours, I even hate curses.

But anyw3ay wonder what the true One Piece is about, if it had 'better' looking creature people I'd like it, just these ones on the Fox one are ehhh corny, a fish man and even a human man with a nose what looks like six feet long, where is that 'real'? (even in make believe where is that real.... Mermaids, MerMen all good, if they well look decent.)

Otherwise, I still watch the Winx Club alot, 'waiting' for Season 2, because they are kinda 'killing' Season 1 with the repeast, plus it being on Cartoon Network, which is yes good, I think, but rather see some new ones at least. I mean I ordered and Got Winx Club Welcome To Magix VOL1 and got it today, so am happy with that, but rather the other vols follow very soon as well, and the fall to already get here so new Winx.

Also and in anycase, as far some well alot of the old and semi-old 4Kids shows and such, from My Winx Club today, inside was a little booklet pull out, with basicaly 'ALL' shows comming to DVD sometime in the near furture, if not already. Some of them well----blow, Sonic mess, I mean well as I said before, the game is DEAD, no one cares no more, sad but true Sega, you played the game and you lost, (in more ways then one, the dead console mess, the dead games, please really get out and go away), geez what a stupid cartoon.

The Winx Club, Okay asalso said a few times, yes some of you all like the way the characters look, yes they are nice, but otherwise, not in a bad way, but we need the Winx Club really, it is about the only GIRL cartoon on (even if the girl is a 29 year old woman) I see little girls just eat this Winx mess up. The dolls are getting RARE, and have been RARE, the books, and all else also RARE, I tell you, I've seen it with my own eyes, just looking for Winx Club dolls to collect and the other mess, goodness, I do have to alot of times shift through little girls just to see if anything is on the counter still left. Glad to say I got all dolls now (by long visits to Wal-Marts some 100 miles away in smaller towns then a rat's turd, where no one lives anyway to buy them anyway, so lucked out on that and other stuff as well.) But where it is populated, gosh there is NOT a little girl without a Winx Club everything, this stuff is really big.

Now really, what do I do with all the 'extra' dolls I collected in box always and forever sealed up in original packaging. I mean $16.01 a pop, and five times that is not exaclt cheap, but not all that bad either, a game and a game guild pretty much, well a few games and a few game guilds, I sorta did clean out a few Wal-Marts. But with dolls that are going for $24.95 to $39.99 on the internet now and even more on mess like ebay, I do wonder if I should sale some off, or keep to they become more rare.

Saturday mornings back in the 80's and 90's rocked, but shortly after news programs took the place of cartoons on some networks, and the old Saturday lineup as I remember it was a thing of the past. Now these days cartoons just don't hold a place in my heart, although the vlassic ones still do.

Saturday Anime &amp; Cartoons what is your Flavor?

I don't currently watch any sat morn toons, 99.9% of the ones currently on just suck too much. The only good one is TMNT, but it's not good enough to bother with unless I'm bored. (I loved the original TMNT cartoon, but just can't get into the new one.)
GI Joe sigma 6 and loonatics unleashed are ok, but just don't have what it takes to draw my attention. (Once again, I loved the old GI Joe toon, but the new one just fizzles.)
One piece sucks total ass. When a cartoon takes 12 episodes or more just to tell one little fight, it's lame.
I watch pokemon when I'm bored. I used to watch it a lot, but it just gets too repetitive.
I loved shaman king while it was on, it sucks that fox took it off.

Most of the sat toons I watch are evening ones n cartoon network. Titans, JLU (which is no longer on), inuyasha (also no longer on), full metal alchemist, zatch bell (although I'm really starting to get tired of it, and may stop watching it soon), IGPX, s-cry-ed, neon genesis evangelion, ghost in the shell.

I also watch simpsons, family guy, and american dad on fox on sundays.
