Who Is Rune?

I've seen the name mentioned before with nothing but hate. I remember over time seeing Rune mentioned at gscentral and don't know what it was about exactly. Up until last week, I had never even been to gscentral before. While wandering through the forums, out of the posts I saw that were Rune's, Rune didn't seem evil at all. What did I miss out over time?

Rune is an ass who banned most of the admin on the original GScentral. he sent his minions to troll this poor yet awesome site when it was new. got attacked by kodewerxian people. stole codes which is a misnomer as all he did was not give the correct people the credit they deserve and refused to take codes down when the original creator of the code asked or demanded. he did something to royaly piss of ugetab to the point that ugetab let loose a whole slew of awesome (posted on this forum). he may be pleasent at times but becomes unpredictable as what is beyond the Escape Horizon of a black hole. a few of us have good reasons to hate Rune. some dont care and others are too lazy to bother with something like hate.

Most people never write the reason why this happened. For weeks, I had decided that paying for the bills for a bunch of ungrateful people who spent their days and nights slandering each other and, most notably all of the newbies, had gone on too long. The levels of entitlement were unbelievably high during that time period. The same individuals who caused problems at GSCentral.com brought them over to GSCentral.org, which caused the shutting down of the forums temporarily. (For the weekend as I recall.)

The administrators lost their access temporarily so they couldn't re-activate the forums. People needed to re-think their erratic behaviour from the last few weeks. Truth is, people weren't happy because they felt that they "owned" the forums and could do whatever they liked. (Not true.) That caused the GSC to KW split. The split was just as unavoidable at GSCentral.com as it was GSCentral.org. Some people are still bitter to this day but they only brought it upon themselves with poor behaviour. (Arguably, some people are still just as useless today as they were in 2005 or even 2007, but that's a discussion for another day.) The same antisocial behaviour is available for all to see to this day -- just point your browser to the Kodewerx website and check out the posts from 2007.

The reality is, GSCentral has been awesome ever since.

I never sent anyone. Dlong amongst others signed up here to complain about the lack of proper code credit that happening from the 'iamstillhiro111' days and can still be found in your databases today. What started it all was the stealing of codes from the GSCentral.com database and their re-submission to this website...nothing else. The original code creators aren't being credited here, unlike they have always been at GSCentral.

People were stealing codes from that day and even your beloved Ugetab stole codes from myself amongst many others who he didn't feel like crediting. Hell, he stole nensondubois' share of the credit work before his recent death!

He stole codes. Ugetab didn't like his false "good reputation" to become public. He also had very little evidence. There was also a major GSHI<->GSCentral 'bout on a messageboard somewhere that lasted for days that you are not aware of.

Rune: Those have always been your positions. And the positions of all GSHI members at the time, along with most of the current members of KW (who were at the time still GSC members), were quite the opposite. At the least, no one else substantiated your claims, other than the very few who simply backed you for the sake of doing so. By the end of the "war", your claims, and the timestamps, witnesses, etc to the contrary alienated you to the point of no one else posting on your side, and a slew of people still pointing out the fallacies of your posts. This was yet another reason for several of your members to 'cross the floor' and come to GSHI and/or KW. Finally, you began simply posting spam in an effort to drown out logic completely.

But I have no interest in dragging the scene through another waste of time involving GSC. Neither do I mind that your site continues to exist. If it in any way encourages activity in the hacking scene, I endorse it. The only thing I lament is that it causes needless strife, wastes time and effort, and pushes apart a scene that more and more needs to come together. Rather than drudging up the past, we should all be working to save our future.

Your recent comments concerning ugetab and his death, however, are appalling. You should be ashamed of yourself, and you should at the least apologize to his mother, whose son just died at a young age, who had the misfortune of reading your garbage of a child's response to this very real event. Seriously, that's lower than I expected from you.

I was hiro1112 and Rune was stealing codes from GSHI before GSHI even started posting off site codes. Ugetab didn't steal codes, he just happened to hack codes that already existed and had no where to post them he knew about GSHI. Just cause someone makes a code on another site doesn't mean we shouldn't be allowed to post codes when someone else creates them. It's a different thing than if he just copy pasted someone elses codes. Ugetab had skills where he wouldn't need to take anyones code.

If somebody believes that Ugetab was a 'code stealer' then they are clearly ignorant on how to find cheats. He demonstrated the fact that he very skilled again and again, he also had a unique capability to think outside the box when it came to cheat finding which only comes with time/experience.

The fact that somebody thinks he would need to steal cheats frankly just beggars belief.

For example, if two people sit the same mathematics exam and they both come up with the same answers does it automatically mean that one person has copied/stole from the other? Obviously, not....and this is no different, it just illustrates one fact and that is the accuser lacks the knowledge to see the truth. The disrespect he has shown to Ugetab's family at this dark time is inexcusable, I just hope someday he comes to his senses as such hatred will just fester.

I lived through it, I have earned nothing from doing GSCentral.org/GSCentral.com, it's done entirely for the scene. It's up to you to decide to accept the truth or believe in false illusions.

hiro, as a maintainer of the old .com site, I saw how you were one of the people who took other people's works, so I am not surprised that you feign such an outrage.

Ugetab was a great hacker but was also sly in covering his tracks. He was also a great liar. He didn't need to take other people's codes, but take other people's codes and work he certainly did time and time again. Before Ugetab's passing, Nensondubois received no credit on their collaborations whatsoever.

As I've explained to one of your members, to this very day, many code creators have lost proper code credit. On "your" BSFree there has been liberties with code credit for my hacks, so everyone can see for themselves how genuine and honest your website is with its hackers. Those same liberties also exist in your database.

The truth hurts, but it needs to be said and people need to know it.

I will say a couple of words. This is going too far. How long already, five years? Come on, this is tearing apart the little that is left of the scene. About code stealing, claiming a PAR code as unique is only rediculous, you know Rune that thanks to almost every emulator out there has simple and easy to learn built-in search tools and this gives the same code to everyone. Ok, one can be more skilled with that tool and find something another doesn't, and there is maybe a little different. But I will not claim for any RAM code. I will claim for ROM codes, yes, as anyone else should do, because it took really knowledge, effort and also colaboration in hard times.

Now, I know that you Rune, as I'm mostly talking to you, but not only, has giving me credit for the codes I made and you posted in your database. I don't care with my codes being displayed out there as I did them to help people, it was always my intention and will always be. If we keep a track of the old database in bsfree, for me is ok for you to have them as you respect the credit, but not only mine, the credit for everyone else, for each creator that you should had asked first. And you should had asked me, you know, a mail doesn't kill you. I should had granted it to you only if you had asked my. That was unrespectful.

Then the stupid "war". You don't know what a war is. Don't have an idea what it represents. The costs in life terms, the pain it brings, how it destroy contries. And what happened between ugetab and you is your problem. I never asked him for credits when I helped him with his music rip project. I don't say nenson shouldn't, but what happened between them is not a matter of us. You don't know what happened more than what nenson told you and that mixed with your natural hate is a bad thing to trust. He was skilled, you can claim whatever you want, but he was gentle and always give us a hand when needed and never asked nothing in change for that. So, what happened it was a problem between you and him. But a problem nothing more, about code hacking. You can't go and say such dark things about him just because a rage about code hacking. Pull your mind in man. Really.

i am making this declaration because of possible trollage. this declaration is not about you Rune but is to express my wishes that any codes i have or will create should be respected and not posted onto the GSC database.

Thank you all for sticking up for my Son "Ugetab" aka Daniel. Rune knows he was skilled beyond his realm of his fantasy world. I've read through many of his post here and he would thank people for things if it helped him . He was very skilled in his work. I know you stole codes from him real and fake codes to trip you up. Even Nensondubois was man enough to not say he was happy he died . Your everything my son said you were and more . I feel sad for you in the fact you can't let anything go for a brief moment . Maybe your just jealous ugetab had skills you only wished you had . Give it up. He was known in far more places than just here and your site. He helped people from around the world.
