  • A few GSHI domains being trimmed

Due to low utilization, the following domains will be allowed to expire on August 15:

    ramhackers.com
    ramhackers.net
    ramhackers.org
    ramhacking.com
    ramhacking.net
    ramhacking.org

Considerations will be made if anyone has an objection, so feel free to let me know if you think we should keep these, and why.

Other than generating more the traffic for the site i'm not bothered about them being removed, if it saves you money go for it.

Once they're allowed to expire, you can usually pick up domain names for around $7 a year...so, pretty cheap.

It's my opinion that you should keep them. Sometimes when I can't get into gshi the normal way I use ramhacking.net instead. It's more convenient to have another way. ramhacking.net is the only alternative address that I have memorized.

Hmm...I didn't even see your reply until now. But, they've been allowed to expire. We will still keep several extra domain names; we're just trimming the fat. Having a huge collection of largely unused domain names is a waste of effort and cash.

That said, the following domains will be allowed to expire on October 16:

            videogamehacking.org
            videogamehacking.net
            videogamehackers.org
            videogamehackers.net
            vghackers.com
            vghackers.org
            vghackers.net
            vghacking.com
            vghacking.org
            vghacking.net
            schoolofhacking.org
            schoolofhacking.net
            gamesystemsheadquartersinternational.net
            gamesystemsheadquartersinternational.org

Again, if anyone has a specific reason why any of them shouldn't be allowed to expire, feel free to voice it.

Having a boatload of domains can be a bad thing if you value search engine rankings. Which explains why I setup Apache to respond to all requests at kodewerx.net with HTTP 301 Moved Permanently; pointing at kodewerx.org. (At least, I did that in the previous iteration of the site. I haven't done a damn thing yet with the hosting you've given. )
