  • oh my god (of war)

god of war. holy shit, i finally got around to playing this game... it is so damn good. im only on the second level, but so far i've repeatedly stabbed guys in the face after grabbing them out of mid air, i impaled a giant hydra through the mast of a ship (and it stabbed right through his goddamn eyeball), and i porked some hot babes. yes this game is so sweet that you can pork hot babes by using the ever intuitive quarter-circle quarter-circle square (just like real life.... or something like that)

anyway if anyone else has played: discuss here.....

    oh my god (of war)

Well, I've heard the hype behind the game and all signs point to it being good. I might have to pick this up some time whenever I get a job (which I am hoping will be soon).

I also heard and saw some of the hype. Looks pretty neat, hehe as is, it has 'naked' women on it as far as I can tell, from the game mags showing little space invaders over the nipples and such and all the captions 'kids tell your parent's to buy you this game!!!!' hehe :P

In fact my brother has that game, he is really 'into' history and mess, a school teacher, yeah yeah high school, and that is a mess, I have one older brother and one older sister and they both are high school teachers.... anyway my brother really into history and that stuff being a history teacher, and has and likes htis game (as well as most other 'war type games') I know this game is not 'war' really but well is history, well that mytology stuff, anyway, will borrow it sometime soon and see what it is all about.

Again it looks really interesting, heck even I love Xena (yeah I know not the same mess, but close sorta, same time period and mess sorta.) So shall look to borrowing this soon, and hehe see what all the hype of nakeness is all about as well. :P

        oh my god (of war)

well, i just beat the game. it weighed in at a tiny 6.5 hours.... but man, what a game. it was incredible. too bad the copy i downloaded had all the bonus movies ripped so it would fit on a single layer dvd, i guess im gonna have to go rent it so i can see all the extras.

the exploration, level design and puzzles remind me of ico and prince of persia somehow combined and improved. and although you have to travel through some areas quite a few times, it doesnt seem as bad as backtacking can usually be.

the final boss wasnt nearly as cool as i thought it would be, and infact in my opinion, none of the bosses seemed as cool as the first one, but dont take that the wrong way, it was still a fantastic game. id rate it an "a" if i were to give it a report card.

        highly recommended.

oh, and yes amy, there are plenty of polygonal boobs to admire. apparantly they were originally even gonna throw cocks on the trolls, but that got cut... poor poor casterated trolls.

well, now im gonna try playing stella deus.

hmm, well i started playing a game in stella deus, for those who dont know its a srpg for ps2 that WASNT made by nippon icchi, who are pretty much the "big" guys for the genre.

its seems pretty good, and the music is very similar to fftactics, which is ALWAYSa good thing. the animation is lovely, but some of the character designs are just kind of.... uhh... weird.

the story so far is about this world thats covered in a posion called miasma (heh same idea as in final fantasy crystal chronicles...) and then this one guy tries to take over. now we gotta save the world.

and the game is promising for lots of hours.

now this all sounds fine and good, but the problem is this: all its doing for me is making me want to play disgaea (by the previously mentioned nippon icchi). i have played through disgaea 3 times, and got my main character to level 4000 or so. and still i have these urges to play it again.

i dont really know where im going with this post, so ill leave it at that. im gonna go play disgaea, and shove stella deus on some dusty shelf i guess...

I don't think I ever got into strategy rpg's. Save that minigame in FFVII. That was kinda fun. It should of had it's own game. I mean a game that was like that, not FFT. If not for console maybe for a cell phone. I hear they released the snowboarding game for cellphone. They ought to do that with the Strategy and Motercycle game.

Well, hehe first of all, I must say, though I am 'open' all about sexual mess ehre and well, nothing wrong with seeing 'breasts' and other mess, if it is there to see, heh I am no pervert or such. :P Seeing breasts and other things are not what a video game should be all about to me really, unless it is made that way and so far most of those games that way pretty much sucks. (Playboy Mansion, Leisure ASuit Larry, geez what STUPID games, in my own opinion)

But otherwise, I see and saw and read in alot of reviews this god Of War is pretty darn sweet and fun. Not got my hands on it yet, but shall soon, heh I hope.... my brother has it as I said, but well my brother is not someone I call over nor wish to call over to my 'home' really. He has a wife that I hate, the stupid bitch, and otherwise, is always trying to 'steal' something from me without asking. He always borrows my ADULT porn DVDs, without asking, that sort of thing, but the kicker is, his 'wife' finds them, she destroys them, which puts me out and makes me have to bitch and complain til I see her buy me another of the same title, yes I make her 'humiliate' herself doing this as she should, she is really stupid yet self rightous 'porn is bad bad bad' type of prude. So much hell my brother plays god of war 'alone' so it will not get broken for having 'breasts' in it...ehhh life of stupid people.

Anyway... god of war, looks sweet and fun and nice other then the breasts and all heh and not sure if this is true, or a joke on something that was took out, but the game mag says that the Cyclops originaly had a 'wee-wee' hehe we all know that is a penis, but not sure it was took out of the game, or if they are making fun of the poor bastard by he gets it cut off 'bobbit style' :P (Okay sorry I know 'painful' or losing penis jokes is not good with guys, I am sorry, but the mag made fun of it, so makes me wonder if is in there, or was soemthing took out as of yet til I get to 'borrow' it myself. :P

On strategy rpg's games, I recall one, well now 'all games' are called simple RPG, last strategy rpg I heard of used as that term was FF tactics, which is great, but to me though FFT is GREAT, I still love and always recall Dragon Force, a great 'war' RPG game, much like in 'machanics' like FFT type that I heard and read is comming out remade for PS2 this fall, not to ruin this thread with that all, but has my interests sparked and cannot wait for the day that game comes out.

Yeah, the FF7 strategy minigame was great...it got really stressful sometimes, especially if you were short on cash and just tried to make do...

Der Langrisser (with the translation patch) is a great strategy RPG for the SNES...

I started playing this the other day, I'm almost at the end and may finish it today. It's good stuff.

I fully leveled up the chaos blades, poseidon thunder thing, and artemis blade, now I'm leveling up the army of hades move.

yeah i maxed out the dagger things first, then the sword that you get later and i also maxed out the hades summon thing. those are pretty much the only things i maxed, but they are also the only things i ever really used...

I beat it a bit ago.
Killed Ares on the first try too, what I did was I used the wrath of the gods, and while fighting I would call up the army of hades as often as I could, since the wrath of the gods gives infinite magic.
Of course the 2nd part of the fight I had to do manually though.
