I know. Something really does need to be done about it. The question is what is going to be done?

      Re: Hey have you noticed?

I can post! sure i can post! I'm the postingest damn thing you ever saw! seriously now, i try to post, but what on? all i ever see is rpg code posts, and i'm not so down with rpg's, and the 3 word stories are just boring and....i know i know, one shouldn't complain if they can't do better, so sue me! (ie. please don't).

oh hey, look at that, will ya, i got me a new avatar. on another note, i read an article about the leaked win2k/nt source code, and that it contains a lot of profanity...amusing.

oh yeah, i also started playing ff8, but again, i gave up cuz i died at the first damn boss.

It's not so much the people that have been known to post here stopping, it's that everything in general has kind of died. I'd guess greatly due to both the site not being updated for 6 months, and that playstation codes are "retro" now... It's very unfortunate...

          Re: Hey have you noticed?

well not really..gscentral is larely retro hacking site with some new next generation thing..the problem is we lack next generation hackers..and we lack avertisement to get people here..plus most of the time most of the mods here are inactive..why do we use them when we don't use them anywayss?

            Re: Hey have you noticed?

Well, I am around (again and again and again) this is about the millionth time I had to all over again restore my PC... and getting all things back takes---forever blahhh stupid getting all the players and updates and everything... and then once again finding the place... it takes time plus all the other mess that is of the net that takes time, like online gamming I have not even started back, cause I lost most of it with my system 'flash'...

What is really a pain is the stupid things that cause a system restore... for example, this last time is was because the monitor 'went out' I simply choose another color setting and my monitor went black, and thus could not see to do anything so yet another system restore... all this stupid windows mess and restoring over stupid mess really has I must say gottened on my nerves all this new year.

But anyway, I am sorry for not being around, I am around now... just hope and pray no 'stupid' thing fries my system again, and I will be around. Now the thing about topics and posting...well that may I even can see and can tell may need abit of work around here. I mean nothing is say boring... I am not say8ing that, heck I thought last time I was around the little thing LMZ was doing about that joke thing that came up in chat (dude where's my GS) was looking pretty fun, plus never bragging, but even if silly, I even felt abit proud that the idea came from a chat LMZ and I had---heh simply because we were just that bored to start talking about that corny 'Dude Where's My Car' movie one night a while back. :muahaha: When I, myself, and someone as technical advanced as LMZ start talking about a silly 'teen movie' in chat...well you really know it is boring.

Ahhh well anyway... as far as chat, well when people are there, well 'our family' people even if boring it is still pretty much okay. LMZ is fun when around, as is others DarkSerge, Lazy, Tru, Ron, Edgar well as I said 'when' they are around... in fact I not been around as of late (not even got mIRC on my PC yet once again) but it was getting abit idle there, but that happens... life is life, I guess.

Abit for me anyway, the whole idea of chat sorta is getting on my nerves anyway, well not anyone here nor anything, but well one or two 'watnetters' are becomming real pains in the ass, and well, freak it anyway, freedom of spech, I hate them and am sick of them and their BS, and all that plus 'waiting-waiting-waiting' for 'space, and waiting for programs and all else that was promised to convert and all other things is really getting on my nerves. Not a whole story, just a small tid bit, just enough to allow it to be known, I am not happy with it, but as is, it is one of those things where I just said a tid bit to express my feelings and nothing more is needed.

ahh well...anyway... I still am interested and love PSX codes, I am still and yet to get all those Final Fantasy Orgins codes as of yet so that is still a topic well as far as I go. But, yes...things seem to be going the next gen ways... there are a few out there that sould be called over and maybe 'share' their secrets... GMO is already here, but as surfing the net for 'unofficial' codes (which are the ONLY good next gen codes these days it seems are always made and hacked by independants. a few here a few there... I specialy would love the breaking the ground into the GameCube code topics maybe someday...as is you know who does not hack codes worth a penny...naybe a dream, but there are some out there. Maybe time to break into it all.

Again, not complaining, I enjoy it here, when I can be here, just well... someone do something to prep things up please.

Ahh well, I am here, as of 'now' and will try to stay here from now on, with abit of hope, I shall. On the other hand, blahhh I really need to update my avataer and all other mess...blahhh I need to really get on that, but say, does anyone know of a place that offers like a good bit of space, and getting in it and the info for it is not always a pain in the ass and always waiting for someone else to scratch their ass and finger their belly button before they can tell you? (sorry but geeez I am still soooooo sick of people anyone who says they will do somethign and then just sit their like a knot on a log) I hate liars... I'd rather deal with a murderer then a liar, at least when a murderer says they are going to kill me, hell, that is soemthing I can pretty much count on...

Sorry once again, I am just abit fed up with some people who promise mess always and never deliver...

            ~Amy

              Re: Hey have you noticed?

Bleh. Basically it boils down to what Liquid said: we hack SNES, PSX, and occasionally things like NES or GBA...which, with the exception of GBA, are all retro. The masses want what's new...they're still impressed with what we do, it's just that they're too busy with HALO and FFX 2 to care what just got hacked for Metal Gear Solid, heh. If we managed to delve into X-Box, PS2, and (I guess) GameCube stuff, we'd attract a crowd pretty quickly. We have some of the best veteran hackers around - if we came back to the forefront and tickled the next-gen systems a little, I guarantee we'd do things never been done before. When I get the cash (which should be soon, fortunately), I'm gonna pick up an X-Box, and set out to do whatever needs to be done to get back into VG hacking in the mainstream.

All of a sudden, I have free time. It 0wnz, as an ex-retired old hacker might say . I'll try to be a lot more active in the GSHI now. I'm gonna be in chat pretty much every day except Sunday (I use the wireless connection in this coffee shop, and it's closed on Sunday, heh) from around 6 to 10 PM, Eastern time.

On a seperate note, I recently started hitting some of the old games I never got around to in the old days...I'm playing Shadowrun (SNES), which 0wnz, Silent Hill (PSX), which seems pretty interesting so far, and Star Ocean (SNES - graphics pack / DeJap translation), which kicks a lot of @$$. And I've hacked a little for FFIV SNES, just for kicks.

Anyway, I'm off to check out the rest of the UBB. Drop by chat; we'll bandy around some ideas for the site. Later.
              I may be lazy, but I can...zzzZZZzzzZZZzzzZZZ...

                  Re: Hey have you noticed?

Cool. I'm way too lazy to go back and play it again any time soon, but I might use that to hack some Phantasy Star IV stuff.

                    Re: Hey have you noticed?

Hmm... You know, the genesis version of shadowrun is really a different game, not just some port. But that doesn't mean much.

                      Re: Hey have you noticed?

Turns out the Gen version is so not just a port that I don't really like the gameplay at all. And that's acknowledging the fact that the SNES game has that usually-crappy...click on some item and read about it... system. Bleh, blame my horrible textual oratory skills on lack of sleep. It's my usual ploy, anyway

Yeah, lack of sleep tends to do that, especially when combined with a nice little evil hangover...

Even so, in the words of Jason Lee (in Vanilla Sky) "...without the sour...the sweet just ain't sweet."

Ahh, I'll be e-mailing a large amount of people at once in the next few days to inform them that the GSHI is still somehow alive. Next step is to do some serious updating, and add at least one functional thing to the site, then hack randomly like a madman. You guys can help by sitting there in awe. Heh, actually, pressure KE to finish his section of the FAQ, dammit. And on a similar note, I'll probably release the latest update of GSHI Battle IV soon.
