  • Free Prog. List

Just some junk-style stuff(to me) concerning some programs that do things I'm interested in.

A darn good calendar program. Free version is great for being free. Pay for is probably better, but I refuse to pirate it.
    Rainlendar2
    http://www.rainlendar.net/cms/index.php

Needs a few setting tweaks to make it really work well.
    1. Right-click->Options->Position = "On Desktop" (Keeps the Desktop button from minimizing it)
    2. Normal Transparency = 50% (It's just less pronounced this way)

To backup the default calendar file used, you can put this into a batch file, and run it when you want a copy:
    copy /y "C:\Documents and Settings\%username%\.rainlendar2\Default.ics" "C:\!RainlendarBackup\"

File searcher that DOES NOT LOOK IN ZIP FILES(Yay!), and finds stuff so fast it'll make you're head spin compared to Windows search:
    (Search) Everything
    http://www.voidtools.com/

Also has other features, but I could care less beyond the search, personally.

    Virtual CD/DVD Drive:
    DAEMON Tools:
    http://www.daemon-tools.cc/eng/products/dtLite

Anyone worth their weight in 88-mhz processors knows about Daemon Tools. It's free for personal use, as said on the bottom of the page. Be cautious of the installation options, but once installed without baggage, it's darn good for loading a disc image into a fake CD drive that acts real.
This reality is mine. Go hallucinate your own.
