I'm taking a pseudo-vacation from GSHI...
Though I've effectively been 90% there for several months now, I've decided that it needs to be said, and made "official": I'm going to de-emphasize my overt role in GSHI for a while, and serve as a shadowy benefactor, heh.
I've been spending too much time stressing about the fact that I'm letting everyone down by not spending more time on the many GSHI-related projects I'm involved in, even when I have too little time to do them, and more dire tasks at hand in the other aspects of my life. Thus, I'm officially (pseudo) vacationing from these responsibilities for a while.
What does this mean? Well, I'll still be here, at the forums, and in chat, pretty much every day, as usual (I think of GSHI chat as if it were another room in my house). I'll still respond to emails, PMs, IMs, and the like. And I'll still make many of the executive decisions concerning GSHI (LiquidManZero will make most of the remainder).
However, Majestic Porter will officially be put on hold (it was already thus, in an unspoken sense). Project Artemis will (again, as it already was to an extent) progress on the wings of such talents as misfire, gtlc, and all others willing to chip in knowledge, expertise, and ideas (I will still provide assistance in some ways, such as the gathering of resources and information, social networking between communities and individuals, use of admin powers at PS2Dev if required, and such). GSHI Battle IV will return to dormancy for the time being (though as the other projects, I'm quite likely to return to it at a later date). GSHI-Mart will be set aside until decisions are made on exactly what will be vended, and how our supply chain will be put together (this will take as long as it needs to be done correctly, and will likely be hastened by others contributing ideas and sources of information - thanks to helder for his help in this respect).
In many respects (perhaps all), this "vacation" will be completely irrelevant to the community. As I said earlier, I've already been remiss of my "duties" for a few months now; this post merely serves to relieve my lazy, guilt-ridden, overburdened mind from stressing about letting GSHI down as a community, and should actually allow me to get MORE done for GSHI than I've been doing as of late. I've managed to get so cognitively bogged down, that I can sit down with the full intention of doing one or more GSHI-related tasks, and spend so much time looking at the various pieces of GSHI I should be working on, and stressing over this detail or that, that I actually get NOTHING done. It's astounding.
