Ah. You could try http://www.mibbit.com/ next time, but it's even less likely to work, as it's more popular. What you want to find is a place that's not very well-known (so it's not already in the list of sites to block in their proxy system), and that uses a different port number than 6667. Then, if you're lucky (and, as I remember it seeming when we last talked about it), they're blocking port 6667, and not the IRC protocol.I may be lazy, but I can...zzzZZZzzzZZZzzzZZZ...Comment

If work has firefox installed on the computer you can use the chatzilla plugin. It's a simple irc but it probably eats less resources than java chat. I don't think irc's are that great tho, too easy to get banned from, and less talking than yahoo chats.Comment
