I have to pass a health test on the first day otherwise I fail. Hopefully it invovles seeing how well I can consume alcohol. It's really basic except customer interaction...I tend to grunt and talk really gruffly at people, so that with being 5'2/3 and a rough beard, will not bode well.

Good Luck with the bartending. I recommend you read the books by a author named "trader vic" on how to bartend. there are some helpful tips in his books.

Yeah it's just a really simple course...think a night course like basic computer skills or something. And besides every great Irish man had something to do with a pub...be it being passed out in one for drinking too much or just making sure people pass out for drinking too much, it's a true Irish thing.
