  • What do you people think of the upcomming Hitman movie?

    http://imdb.com/title/tt0465494/

I think it might be interesting. Though i might want to watch the Transporter first, just to get into the mood to be depressed by a video game turned movie.
Cant stand the 32 bit and above gaming.
Gamers for the return of 2d sprite filled games!

Eh...making a movie about a hitman would be unoriginal. Making a movie about a mediocre game about a hitman...that's just inane.

However, maybe it'll be good. Who knows.
    I may be lazy, but I can...zzzZZZzzzZZZzzzZZZ...

It could be good if they manage to get a decent story, say the one fro the second game. I'd also put some money on Jack Thompson attacking movies next.

I thought it was a good move to keep hitman bald. I heard at one point they considered giving him an afro. Then it was quickly changed to a rainbow colored wig before being changed back to bald.

My brothers like the Hitman games, but even I, who hasn't played those games, know that this movie is terrible just from the preview and from some interviews that I stumbled upon. It's just an appeal to your awfully mediocre action-seeking movie-goer, who lived in the 80s, but he's dead now. I think now, most of movie-going society has become "smarter" in general and appreciates something with a mind to it. Even the other part of the movie-going community is past mindless action. They simply moved on to sex and other stupid appeals...but it's not action, that's for sure. Now, a movie like Live Free or Die Hard has a lot of action, but it has a mind and a sense of coherence in the plot and progression. Hitman? No. This just a bald guy with a mediocre backstory who goes through explosions and has sex at some random point to accomplish a mediocre goal that entails defeating a mediocre villain so they could depict a run-of-the-mill mediocre appeal to the dead mediocre action audience so that they could attempt a mediocre ending. I can't even say if it's credible of the rank of mediocre...

As we are all well aware of most film adaptations of video games are usually very poor. This is not the case with Hit-man. Hit-man has done something that no other video game film has been able to pull off before. It is entertaining to the general audience who has not plaid the video game, by use of witty remarks, dark humor, and excellent action scenes. On the other hand fans of the video game series will be pleasantly surprised that Hollywood has not butchered the concept of the video games. There has been much debate over the actor who played 47; all actors did an excellent job. I was very pleased.
