  • Heheheheh...Heh...

If anyone remembers me...I haven't been here in ages. During my leave, I turned 17 on the 7th of June (Yes it's been forever since, but I always feel that everyone must know), so there's that. It would've been awesome if my B-day was July, so then I'd turn 17 on 7/7/07...That'd just be fun, but either way, I'm 17, and that grants me no more priveleges in life, but I am officially a year older and now a part of the massive stereotype age for dumbs kids that do drugs and have sex and get pregnant. And...I'm glad not to be a part of them.

And, if I do come off as a wee bit too excited or hyper, then please don't blame me...I saw three movies that I love today, and that has never happened before! First I saw Princess Mononoke in the morning, which I have always liked a lot, especially considering how hard I am on superstitious anime (They're like the same thing, so it's like Superstitious times 2), so that woke me up, considering that it was awkwardly early. Then, I went with my little brother to see Ratatouille, and for the most part, it was a good as the critics said it was. Then, I was just relaxing in my room when I happened to catch the beginning of Snatch, which I really love. It's just a hilarious take on a crime movie, while at the same time establishing a sense of movie genius. I encourage any one of you to look it up and watch it. It's a love it/hate it movie, but everyone I know that's seen it loves it.

    So...Hi again.

Heh, welcome back. Ah, 17th birthday...a week after mine, my fiance left me (she'd been in Air Force basic training for several months, and, from what I hear, was tired of no sex, heh), ran away with a guy to England, was dumped by the guy a few weeks later for another girl, and was stuck in England for over a year. That wrecked me, and I even felt a little bad for her, but mostly, I just couldn't help thinking it was funny. I think that helped me get through it

Anyway, this is your show, not mine, heh.

Princess Mononoke is great, I've never seen Ratatouille, and I didn't like Snatch as much as everyone told me I would. Perhaps it was drummed up too much before I saw it, and I was expecting the greatest movie ever. If you liked Princess Mononoke, you should watch Spirited Away, Howl's Moving Castle, and apparently Nausicaä of the Valley of Wind, and Grave of Fireflies (I haven't seen these two yet, but I've heard they're quite good) - all members of the Studio Ghibli collection.
    I may be lazy, but I can...zzzZZZzzzZZZzzzZZZ...

Tales of Earthsea looks like it will be good as soon as Disney gets the kinks out of the translation. I am also looking forward to seeing the Lupin the third movies that Miazaki was involved in.

Oh and Happy Birthday Savvy and welcome back.

LB: That sucks about your fiance. At least you still have your Bearded Dragon

MIR: Well, since I'm 22 now, it's been about five years
And bah, that bearded dragon ate a firefly, and died a while ago. Apparently, they're immune to Australian firefly poison, but not North American...a shame. I now have two baby bearded dragons, Joonie and Zoonie, who are awesome.

LB: You only a year my senior. That sucks about your Dragon. I am so sorry about the death of your Bearded Dragon but am glad you have two baby ones.

Savvy, I made a topic about your birthday in announcements.
And snatch...I learned the safest way to dispose of a corpse from that movie. And Brad Pitt has a Hellava good pikey accent. I'll be 19 on the 12th.

Hey, at least you can laugh about that relationship now. If she had to leave you, then it wasn't the right match anyway. A relationship is definitely more about the interests and activities of both individuals, rather than the physical part. You're a good guy, so you'll find someone nice.

Anyway, I've seen some Miyazaki movies, but like I've said, I'm no anime fan. Spirited Away was great, but you have to forgive it for some inconsistencies. Howl's Moving Castle was well done, but I thought that sometimes it defined itself vaguely, while at other times it was done very well. And, Steamboy was one of those good-but-not-great movies. Of course, Princess Mononoke, for me, was well done all throughout and I can watch it numerous times and enjoy it any less.
