A friend needs some help

She is getting the BSOD on her Lappy. She has two years of Tech support left on it but, it is through CompUSA which reciently closed all of their California Stores and will not repair it.


She just wants to know what the message is telling her so she could trouble shoot from there. She has an Entrouge of computer technician friend to help only if they know what they are dealing with.

I'd give a link to the download at microsoft.com, except their links are broken for it.

Installing that ought to totally fix the problem, if the page at M$ is correct.
