Anyone know of a good C/C++ source analyzer?

I'm looking for a program to analyze C source, and return potential compiling errors, with some explanation. I know I've seen progs that purport to do this, but I've never checked them out, and can't seem to find any lying around now...though, I could always wait until I get home, and out from behind this pesky WebSense proxy. Still, anyone know of one that works well?

I dont know, but i do own a MacOS 8-9 program that purports to "debug". Has any.... Hmmm my next question would go finely in a new thread. Umm.... sorry i am unable to help at the moment but i might get back to you on this.
