  • A few Black Ops $ tips...

I've played BO4 ever since it came out in October, on PS4, mostly playing hardcore Free For All. To me, HC is more-realistic, as getting shot with a modern firearm almost always at least incapacitates one if not an outright kill. So, here are a few things I've learned, on my way to over 50 K kills in limited playing time:

1.) Try to find out which loadouts serve YOU best on a given map. (Never mind what worx best for someone else!) For instance, in Nuketown, I prefer a rapid-fire gun, as long shots aren't really a factor, and an accurate long-range weapon such as the Auger tactical rifle for Icebreaker, where long-distance shots are the norm. But again, find out YOUR best options!

2.) The hardest-hitting weapon in HC FFA is the Titan LMG with FMJ 2 attachment. It can easily shoot thru many walls, even stone or masonry, & will dispose of most enemy scorestreaks quickly, including aircraft. (Not to mention its one-hit-kills, any body part!) The rampart 17 AR equipped with FMJ 2 is almost as powerful, with a more-rapid rate of fire, but not quite as accurate as the Titan.

3.) Aim a little high, as many players have conditioned themselves to jump upon suddenly encountering an opponent around a corner. You'll see your kill totals increase & death totals drop by anticipating opponents that jump insteada instantly shooting.

4.) Sprint only when you don't anticipate having any opponents in front of you. By not sprinting, your weapon is more-readily brought to bear quickly. & often an instant hipshot scores.

5.) For higher score, SHOOT DOWN THOSE UAVS & CUAVS! The hellion launcher is very good at it, especially when equipped with Fast Lock-On & Fast Reload. You can also bust other aircraft with it, but it usually takes 3 launcher rounds to do it. The Titan with FMJ2 is very good against Attack Choppers or Snoper's Nests.

    6. Ruin's Gravity Stomp will kill nearby opponents thru a wall, or enemy dogs. It'll destroy enemy barriers or Sentrys, if you can get close enough. Only thing it won't destroy with one stomp is a Mantis, but it'll leave the Mantis vulnerable to a few bullets or a Launcher round.

    7. To me, Shotguns aren't as good as in COD:WW2. And why use a Sniper Rifle when the Auger tac rifle will serve the purpose?

    8. Your playing style is up to YOU. If you choose to camp a lot, just ignore the critics. If they don't like it, let'em play their Atari 2600s. I both move about & camp, as I feel necessary in a given game.

    9. Remember, it's only a GAME, & all in fun! ENJOY ! !

My roommate has this, but I haven't been motivated since BO3 on the PS4 where I was very annoyed that they never made a correctly working Nightmare mode. Why did they even bother putting the mode in when after every update, they never made it work? When game makers do that, I feel compelled to not give them a penny for anything afterwards. Make it work or keep that garbage out of the market. People paid for that crap. That makes about as much sense as buying a new window, but instead you get the shattered remains. Nobody would pay for or even tolerate that, but somehow with video games that's acceptable. That mixed with other crap has made me boycott EA and whoever does these Call Of Duty games. It's not flying with me. Go back and fix the game and make it playable before moving onto the next one, or I never spend a penny on their garbage again.
