Trump's wall - Dumb As Hell!

While I'm quite Conservative & believe Hillary as POTUS woulda been an unmitigated disaster, Trump is turning out almost as bad. His insistence on a wall on the Mexican border is JUST PLAIN STUPID, and threatening to shut down the govt. over it is even STUPIDER! If he could manage to veto & sustain it on the appropriations bill that funds govt. functions, the blame would fall squarely on HIM, not Congress!

And he's calling for building that wall when there's a long delay being seen in CA to replace the homes destroyed in the recent wildfires because of a lack of construction labor. Sending thousands of such workers to build that wall would greatly aggravate that shortage!

And if the wall is built, anyone with an inner tube & a plank to paddle with could simply sail around it! Believing that wall will keep illegals out is as believing a 10-foot net would keep a Florida beach free of sharks!

I read it.

I'm old enough to barely remember the last GOOD Dem POTUS we had, Harry Truman. The worst, in my lifetime, anyway, was LBJ.

I've imagined what a disaster it woulda been had Hillary been elected.

I don't believe we had much of a choice for POTUS in 2016. It was a choice between Beavis & Butt-head. This is thanks to an electoral system that keeps most potential candidates out.

While I now think Trump's a joke, my Conservative stance won't vary one quark. My two chief complaints with the Liberals is their passing unfunded mandates in Congress, with massive bureaucracies, their giving more rights to bums than we working people have, & their support for every fringe wacko gang that comes along, such as PETA & those wishing to remove Confederate monuments from public places (forgetting the fact that most of those monuments were placed by UNION veterans or their children!), and their policy of "tax-n-spend" & "there oughtta be a law; we need a new bureaucracy with more authority than ELECTED officials!"

I'll likely vote for a Dem for POTUS - unless he/she is a Liberal.
