  • Totalbiscuit has passed away

John Bain, better known as Totalbiscuit, one of gaming's most popular and influential figures, has died aged 33 on Thursday. Bain was a games critic who did most of his work on YouTube.

Bain had announced earlier this month he was retiring from games criticism as a result of his failing health. He was diagnosed with bowel cancer in 2014. The cancer went into remission but later returned, spreading to his liver and his spine.

Really depressing news. I listen to the Co-optional podcast every night at work. He inspired me to build a PC and try new games I never would have tried.
He was a natural at making anything sound exciting he could make a game about watching paint dry sound like the coolest shit in the world.

Even with all of these Season Passes and Loot Boxes being in games, he did an awesome job telling people to vote with their wallets and not to support industry bullshit and anti-consumer practices.
He was one of the most pro-consumer I've ever seen.
    Gone, but not forgotten.

    Rest in peace, TB.
    I'm retired from code hacking.
    I do not take requests!

Aww...why'd the Lord have to take you so soon? In pacem requiescat, TB.
      Tempus fugit, ergo, carpe diem.

Time flies, therefore, seize the day.
