  • Co-workers buy car for dad walking about 3 hours to work

Every day for the past 7 months, UPS worker Trenton Lewis has been waking up at midnight to make it to his 4 a.m. shift loading trucks in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Lewis, 21, didn't have a car, so he walked to work - for five miles - no matter the weather. The new father said he was doing it for his baby daughter.

On the one hand, I admire his hard-work and dedication.

On the other hand, I find him a stubborn idiot. 7 months at a well-paying job and he couldn't afford a $2000 car. After one month at that job he should have been able to get a car. There is no excuse for it. My sympathy for him would have expired after the first month.

Let's celebrate the stupid choices people make. Stupid news media.

I guess I was wrong about him making decent money as a truck loader. Truck loaders only make $11 an hour. Drivers get paid 3x what the truck loaders do.

I still think he made his life unnecessary difficult on himself. But we all do that.

Not sure why I lost it with this guy. I was in a bad mood from work so I took it out on this hard-working guy.
