Dear GSC members,

I am sorry to announce that GSCentral.org will be shutting down
permanently as of Wednesday, October 10th, 2006. As you are likely aware, our
code database has been offline for several months, and it now seems
that it may in fact never be ready for relaunch. This is due in part to a
combination of our main hackers and programmers leaving us earlier this
month to form a new website at http://kodewerx.net/ as well as my
brother's suicide Tuesday evening.

Robert was working on the code database scripts, the only person I
trusted could complete the job on schedule and under budget. He will be
sorely missed.

I wish to thank you all for your participation and consideration over
the last 8 years, and I am regretful for the many mistakes I have made
during that time. Good luck to those of you who wish to join Kodewerx. I
can only hope they will be able to continue providing unique and
interesting codes, hacks and programs to the public.

Obviously he was so incredibly jealous of gscentral.org that he had to hack the forums and make a fake e-mail such as this one.

Whether or not the GSCentral forums are recreated doesn't matter. Parasyte has succeeded in shattering the community that once gathered there. Albeit he didn't do it alone, but it couldn't have been done without him. I suppose whatever really led him to do it doesn't matter either, because concentrating on that won't change anything now. The main decision for the oldbies of GSCentral is do we join GSHI or KODEWERX? Parasyte has just demonstrated that he is a strong leader; whether his tactics are unconventional or not, people are following him and he is providing the forum he's been dreaming of for quite a while now, and had almost completely transformed the GSCentral.org forums into before he left: a forum with complete 100% randomness and leisure. Martial law exists and is used freely, the lines between member and moderator aren't clearly drawn, and, well, basically chaos reigns. At GSHI we have stability, neutrality, logic, and reason in their purest forms. Lazy Bastard is a highly intelligent and down to earth Administrator. Not only that, but he cleverly disguises his maturity and discerning nature as being lazy when it comes to dealing with confrontational situations. This type of leadership provides an environment where one is free to express oneself without direct intervention from the administrators and therefore has to more or less progress with indirect guidance. When judgment is rendered, it's done only after much observation and contemplation. The administrative actions here are completely fair and reasonable. I haven't had a chance yet to sit down and get to know the other administrators as well as I know LB yet, so forgive me for not speaking on their behalves at this time.

So we have the forums of chaos and order, as well as a forum which Rune claims he will recreate. It will be interesting to see which form of administration that forum finally assumes. For now I will remain at GSHI.

I will remain here as well, I have been spying on GSCentral with a proxy and what I have seen is utter chaos. Lots of folks have been treated without due respect. Parasyte, Rune, Viper, and Lemmayoshi are the worst offenders. Dlong isn't too good either, but he was a lot worse at .com than at .org

In fact, at the .org temp forums, I have seen Lemmayoshi tell a couple of first-posters to shut their mouths, even though they hadn't done anything wrong.

As I said before in different words, I'll support Kodewerx as the hatching Phoenix egg of GSC. From what I can tell, it should be a good place, a change of pace, and an ally.

Isn't lemmayoshi part of Kodewerx now? If so, it doesn't really matter what he says at .org...he doesn't support them anymore. I could be wrong, though.
