GameStop Closing At Least 150 Stores This Year Amid Falling Sales

The Wall Street Journal reports that the retailer will close 2% to 3% of its more than 7,500 stores around the world, but did not specify which locations would be closing.

No surprise there, we're slowly moving to new consoles no longer having disks and that cuts out the middleman selling the disks.

I say good riddance. Fuck GameStop. Especially that cocksucker that works at the store at 24th and Oregon Ave. in Philly.

I definitely wasn't a fan of them either. Won't even give me a whole $1 for a game I see on their shelves selling used for $19.99? Can't even give me 5%? That's GameStop. I doubt they'll decide to just do trading of older consoles to live off of, they've been only caring about money since the start. I wonder if they'll be gone a decade from now?

Fuck Gamestop. As long as they gut brand new copies, put stickers all over the cases, scuff the discs, bend the manuals, and lose the codes, they don't deserve anyone's business. No other retailer in history has cracked open games/DVDs and tried to sell them as new. See that fucking sticker holding Xbox games closed? When you remove that, it's not longer brand new and you should be forced to sell it as "like new" or "open box."

I swear, I never saw someone post "Gamestop" without including "fuck" in the same sentence.
I read about some of their practices, I believe some are unlawful under either Portuguese law, or EU regulations.

I don't fucking care about GameStop anymore. they no longer have PS2 games. want hear funny? when i bought few games, they come in paper sleeves! WTF? no awesome cover art, manuals and nice memory card holder too! oh yeah some has different covers where it said Gamestop or whatever. i should warn you, some discs might not work!

at least my local video game store named Voltage has big library of PS2 games and they come with boxes, manuals and covers. the discs are clean. no scratch, etc. this store don't allow you sell scratched discs even DVDs

anyways, i also bought PS2 games from Amazon. so there's always Online Retailers for your gaming needs like this and eBay
