To answer the question posed as the topic of this thread: Fuck No. I have a full tuition scholarship for four years or the completion of a bachelors degree to the University of Michigan Dearborn. There's no way in hell I'm dropping out.

And to be completely honest: I'm not even the smartest kid in my graduation class. I am, however, the only one to get a full tuition scholarship anywhere. How did I do it? I wrote an essay on what makes my generation different than any other. The only requirements were that it be completely grammatically correct and that there be passion in the essay. You could probably do something like that.

CF: People on the East Coast apparently sometimes say ya's/ye's, though to be honest, I've only heard it on cartoons, heh.

If you can at all avoid dropping out, I would. If the other students are pissing you off, graduate, either go to college or do whatever else you want, and economically dominate them in revenge.

I took myself out of public school when I was in third grade, but I guess that isn't really the same thing.

ADD is ridiculously over-diagnosed. I bet only 25% of the people that say they have it actually have it.

I would recommend not dropping out, especially before having something else lined up.

Ah; I assumed you meant high school.

Still, I'd stay in, unless you hate what you're studying for, in which case I would recommend trying change your plan.

I'm deeply thinking about dropping out this year and returning next year. The problem that I have is the amount of stress I have. On one side I could try to get excellent marks next year but the idea of taking it easier and repeating my final year seems more logical.

Think of it this way: I already get weak at the idea of taking the leaving cert(a bit like the SATs), so the idea of going to a stress management course and doubling the time I have to prepare is more logical. Or is there a flaw in my logic?

Did you ever think that they're diagnosing themselves?

I technically dropped out, but I would have been completely screwed if I actually finished school normally. Not only would I have been out around $600, I'd also have had to waste a year going to PE classes.
