A brand new trailer for Lucasfilm’s latest venture into the “Star Wars” universe is finally here.
The clip — which is nearly three minutes long — provides an in depth look at “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story,” revealing new details and confirming fan suspicions on certain aspects of the cast, roles and plot lines.
Viewers are treated to flashbacks, showing Jyn Erso (Felicity Jones) with her father, which reveals once and for all why she is fighting the good fight against the Imperial forces years later. It also becomes clear after watching the “Rogue One” trailer why exactly Jyn’s father is a wanted man and why she’s trying so fiercely to protect his legacy. Though the trailer is short, it features no shortage of action — viewers see Jyn putting together her band of followers, intergalactic battles and much, much more.
