Yeah. That's why I try not to dislike all of GSC because of the actions of a few people. Welcome aboard, guys.

To quote Worf: death to the enemy!
But still, he's stold the codes from codejunkies, is it me or does anyone feel he just wants a load of users so he can say he won? And once again I have no idea why I said that.

I don't know who robbed who since it's all he said, he said (lol). Sure it sucks, a lot, but an individual's thefts don't reflect an entire community.

Good to see some new faces around, you never know when I might throw an obscure game that needs codes your way.

A little bit. I guess it's time we had a chance to observe the innerworkings of GSC from "outside the box."

It's good to see faces... at least you're not GSC Die hards and will flame us.

And modman, I like what you said about the differences. I have had my codes put onto GSC without my permission for too long. But let us not start argueing.

Honestly, I don't see what the big deal is. Here, let me play out two scenarios for you:

Someone packages some software written by an obscure party as their own and attempts to distribute it for free on the internet: exactly what that obscure party would have done in the first place anyway. This software really isn't that big of a deal; it isn't unique in it's function. Sure the obscure party wrote it, but, honestly, anyone with basic programming knowledge could have.

Now, someone attempts to package and distribute for free Microsoft Windows as their own software. They try to fool everyone into thinking that they wrote it solely by themselves, but anyone who looks at it knows differently. In fact, they don't just know that the person attempting to claim ownership didn't write it, they also know who actually did write it.

What I'm getting at by those two scenarios is this: unless you've hacked some groundbreaking code like Parasyte's Race on any track over wi-fi hack, I wouldn't really get frustrated by anyone else attempting to claim it as their own. There are millions of Infinite Lives codes out there, who really cares who hacked them. Those codes, much like many of the ones GSC has taken from here, should be considered 'training codes.'

Shoot for something big. Seriously, what would happen if someone attempted to submit Parasyte's mario kart ds hack to any cheat site claiming it as their own?

Those are the codes that will help you make a name for yourself. Quality, not quantity.

While I agree to some extent, there's a gray area between legendary and beginner. What if someone hacks a code that took..."pretty long" to hack, and was "fairly difficult"...so that only ten people or so could've done it? What about twenty? Is it cool to steal those codes?

What if the obscure software company's only chance to get big enough to afford to make more software was the recognition it might've gotten from that piece of software? What if no one really needed it then, but all of a sudden would in ten years, because of another piece of software that fit perfectly with it?

What I'm saying is...sure, I wouldn't care if someone else claimed to hack an Infinite Lives code I hacked for an SNES game. They may have hacked it, or stole it, but it's irrelevant. I hacked it so the world could use it. I didn't expect to get any recognition for it, save maybe the recognition of the requester, of my prompt replies and quick footwork.

However, it's still not OK to steal codes.

In any case, it's even worse to start a war between sites because a few members are suspected of something for which even a definition is hazy at best. I have to say, though...we each bought each other some publicity

Me Two cents: Stealing is wrong, but things like codes for infinite lives can be hacked by a blind monkey. Certain codes will pop up, but untill they are hacked by one of us, we can't have them on the website.
