PSX/PS2 Cheats on PS3 CFW

Hi all I wasnt sure where to post this but I wanted to know is there a possibility of cheat engine such artermis working with PSX and PS2 games I'm thinking original discs and installed games for both formats as backing up and changing elf files on 80+ games is not fun would be awesome to use the original gameshark/codebreakers or have an all in one Playstation solution but they throw out and error or just black screen when mounted and loaded.
