If you fail to act now, you’ll have to pay $119 or more for your Windows 10 upgrade at any point after July 29th.

The good news is that Microsoft will probably not try to force the update on your machine after July 29th.

Notice that one word, though: PROBABLY. That means there is still a chance that Microsoft will use some sort of sly, underhanded tactic to trick people into upgrading to Windows 10...and have it cost them a bunch of money, or ruin their computers.

The thing is, I actually DOWNgraded to Windows XP, and since support for it officially ended in 2014, Microsoft considers my machine "anathema", so I can rest easy...heh heh.
