In a move likely to bring smiles of vicarious vindication to frustrated computer users, Microsoft has, according to the Seattle Times, dropped its appeal and paid $10,000 to a woman who claimed an "upgrade" to Windows 10 that she didn't want failed and left her computer unusable.

If it really only appears once and never again after you select for it to not notify you again, it doesn't seem more annoying, it's like an improvement that makes you wonder why they haven't done that the whole time rather than the current thing popping up and annoying you every single time you log into your computer like some pushy jerk. It's currently like that hippo popping up every episode of harvey birdman attorney at law doing his "Did you get that thing I sent ya?" where until you say yes it's not going to stop as if there's no reason for the question because it won't accept no for an answer.

If it weren't for the fear of me losing compatibility with various programs, I'd at least try Windows 10, but I don't know what I'll lose so I'm sticking with Windows 7 where I know everything I use works.

I finally switched over from Windows 7 to Windows 10 a few days ago. So far all the programs I've tried work fine, but haven't tried many. Overall, I like 10 better than 7.Originally posted by bungholio View PostIf it weren't for the fear of me losing compatibility with various programs, I'd at least try Windows 10, but I don't know what I'll lose so I'm sticking with Windows 7 where I know everything I use works.Last edited by Tony H; 07-05-2016, 11:06:47 PM.The Code Hut: http://codehut.gshi.org/

I'm thinking more like PS3 and potentially old outdated emulators. If I went to 10, I don't know if I'd be losing Netcheat, ProDG, and I keep thinking long ago epsxe stopped working but I think maybe they updated it for the latest windows at that time out of the blue without a news update for years.
