  • Eagles Guitarist Passes Away At 67

Glenn Frey, guitarist for the Eagles and one of the band’s founding members, has passed away at the age of 67.

He was battling intestinal issues over the past several months that took a turn for the worse over the past several days, TMZ reports.

Glenn was an amazing musician who helped write famous Eagles songs including “Take It Easy,” “Tequila Sunrise,” “Lyin’ Eyes,” and “Heartache Tonight,” as well as other hits including “Hotel California.”

The Eagles were scheduled to appear at last month’s Kennedy Center Honors but pulled out due to Glenn‘s health issues, citing a long recovery time.

Our thoughts are with Glenn's family and loved ones during this time.

Sadly, Glenn Frey has checked into the Hotel California in the sky. Liked his music, and sad to see him pass.

Another sad passing. These past few weeks really have been something awful for the music scene.

Yeah, I know. High-profile deaths seem to come in clusters. I'm not sure why that is, but it usually happens that way. Also, deaths tend to occur more frequently the closer one gets to the end of a year, then it carries over briefly into the following year.
