  • Woman Blasts Bar For Ruining Her New Year

    By Tara West

A cold-hearted bar patron blasted Kilroy’s Bar N’ Grill in Indianapolis for “ruining” her New Year’s Eve celebration. The woman, Holly Jones, says that staff in the bar neglected her and instead focused their attention on a woman who was suffering a heart attack in the middle of the packed restaurant.

The angry woman says that, when she complained about her service, the manager informed her that “someone dying was more important,” a response that Holly says was unacceptable given she had a $700 tab in the restaurant that night. However, the manager of Kilroy’s says he doesn’t mind that Holly won’t be coming back to his bar as he has no place in his establishment for people as “cold-hearted and nasty” as the angry woman who cared more about her comfort than a dying woman.

A screenshot of the rant posted to the Kilroy’s Facebook page before it was deleted.

The Daily Mail reports that Facebook user Holly Jones took to the Kilroy’s Bar N’ Grill Facebook page to rant about her “ruined” New Year’s Eve celebration.

Jones claimed that her meal was “ruined” by “watching a dead person being wheeled out from an overdose.” She claims that staff “ignored” her questions regarding her $700 bar tab because they were instead focusing their attention on the woman who appeared to be dying on the restaurant floor. The irate Holly went so far as to say that the manager told her that “someone dying was more important” than their concerns.
“The manager also told us someone dying was more important then us being there making us feel like our business didn’t matter.”
It was apparently hard for self-focused Holly to understand that a woman was nearing death on the Kilroy’s floor, and instead she wanted her server to focus all the attention to her high-spending table.

Holly seemed to think, for some unknown reason, that the woman suffering from a heart attack was a “junkie” who was overdosing. Holly says that paying customers should trump a “junkie” dying over an overdose and that Kilroy’s should be ashamed for letting someone like that in their establishment.

However, according to the Kilroy’s manager, the woman was not a junkie but rather a woman trying to celebrate New Year’s with her husband. The woman, later identified as a 57-year-old woman who was at the establishment with her husband and son, suffered a heart attack during the celebration. Staff at the bar immediately responded to her distress and called 911 for help.

The woman was taken to the local hospital, where she received treatment and eventually recovered from the scary incident.

The manager, Chris Burton, sent Holly Jones a scathing Facebook message response to her angry review noting that the “junkie” was a mother suffering a heart attack and that he was happy that Holly would no longer be spending New Year’s at his bar.

Burton noted that the woman suffering the heart attack was forced to lay on a floor in a packed out bar with her shirt off as paramedics tried to revive her, yet Holly was more worried about inattentive service and rectifying her bill. He says cold-hearted and disgusting people like Holly can take their service elsewhere and says his staff did the best they could in the situation noting that human life comes first.
“But I can completely understand why you think being intoxicated assholes that didn’t understand your bill should take priority over a human life,” he added. I especially appreciate you making your server (who doesn’t curse) cry as well. I’m sure she really enjoyed working on New Year’s Eve just to deal with people such as yourself.”

Kilroy’s manager Chris Burton responds to Holly’s rant on the restaurant’s Facebook page.

He went on to point out that he was forced to call police to stand by Holly Jones’ table until she paid her $700 bar bill.

Does this woman’s insensitive Facebook rant surprise you?

Karmic bitch slap for a cold-hearted bitch. She deserved it.
      Tempus fugit, ergo, carpe diem.

Time flies, therefore, seize the day.

I read about that and was blown away. Somebody's dying and you're whining that you aren't the center of attention? Some people need to be checked for brain damage or something because there's a major malfunction going on in there if dying people are nonexistent on your priority list.
I'd be curious to see her in a hospital with a minor headache. "There's so many people coming in with burns and gunshot wounds from a shootout that set a building on fire, I can't believe they are ignoring me, I was here first."
