I think DLong probably was involved. But I think that the spammer may of been using prominant hackers names to make the spam attack look bigger than it was. We had a Keeper of the Lodge, Rune, and some other .clone regulars names doing spamming. I wish I hadn't deleted those names cause we dcould of seen the ip addresses and seen if they were the same.

So, uh, you guys do realize that Dlong is a moderator and Lemmayoshi isn't anything more than a regular member, right? No Administrators, being that there are only 3: Rune, Parasyte, and Viper, were involved in the spam attack.

If it makes you feel better, I didn't participate either. I did get bitched at though because apparently I didn't even know it was going on.

I'm primarily against rune...but his reputation is slowly and methodically staining all of the people he has significant connections to. I tend to think a bit less of parasyte at this point, who is still just as good a hacker, but only passably decent as a person in my books. The trinkets of anti-gshi spam left by people obviously associated with .clone doesn't exactly make me think more of people associated with their site either.

Considering the methods the staff has been subjected to in an attempt to annoy them, I'd rate spam as less than the annoyance of not being able to find a code I'm after. Doing little to nothing to either avoid or remove the spam is considerably easier than spending half an hour trying to find the right spot and the best way for reprogramming some assembly. It's just more unusual to rightly react to people as though they were 3 years old, and do so intentionally.

Also, OLungfish: it seems more and more like your GSC banning wasn't wrongful at all. Though disagreeing with an admin should never be grounds for banning, I'm of the mind that you did steal Metal Overlord's codes (and perhaps those of others as well). Can you show me something that indicates otherwise?

Well, one of our newest members told us that .clone threatened to ban him from their board if he joined ours. Banning seems to be a daily occurance so I wouldn't take it too personally there Lazy.

OLungfish: Two wrongs don't make a right, especially in the case of code theft. If you'd driven to Parasyte's house and punched him in the face, it wouldn't have been any of my business. However, code theft is NEVER tolerated.

As I've said to a few people before, I try to give everyone one chance after totally screwing up, so I won't ban you. However, it will be very difficult for you to ever submit codes to GSHI.
