It appears GSCentral is officially gone. They left a memorial page at gscentral dottcomm. Once they lost their code database, they were basically toast.
RIP, GSCentral!

GS central.com has been around for years with a memorial, that's nothing new. But I can't get into gscentral.org either. Maybe they really did go under?
The GSCentral.com page has been up for ages. Did Rune actually retire the .org, or did he just forget to renew it? He was spending an awful lot of time making YouTube videos about the Canadian gaming scene. Maybe it slipped his mind while he was counting the revenue share he got from ~100 views per.
I doubt if this site will fold any time soon, as several people are running it now. While we all have families & jobs that come first, with multiple Admins, there's always someone to keep it going. Look at Zophar's Domain, supposedly on the ropes after Zpohar left, but it's still going strong, with lotsa support.

I went to that site and it's just a forum that hasn't received a new post in ages? Did I go into the wrong place?
no you did not.
and yes, it don't have many new posts in ages and the files at over there are now broken. if you click on the codes for Mega Man X Collection then t will redirect to frown face with error message
Right place. The guy that runs it disappears for ages, the admins have sort of wandered off (I'm still one of them, and I visit the site like 10 times a year), and the focus there was always distinctly current-gen Sony. There hasn't been a lot to do for that since 2008-ish. There was a brief upswing when the PS3 was exploited, but using cheats was a pain there, and only a couple of the hackers really had much interest in it. Personally, I put CFW on my PS3 for a while, but never did much with it. I mostly used it as a Blu-ray player, and only had any interest in a couple of games on it. So yeah, CMP is a repository of its PS2 heyday for the most part, and I suppose it'll limp along until UCF-CodeMaster stops paying the bills.
I've still been doing PS3 codes on CMP. As far as I can tell, aren't all of the PS2 codes from there on here in that codebreaker list format thing that bfoos was doing, or at least most of them?
As for getting the PS3 codes, I'm about the only person who ever bothered updating lists after gingerbread got furious and vanished forever, and everything up until last May should be here on this site too since I was updating the list for dnawrkshp for his NetCheat and Artemis. He's kind of vanished though, don't know when I'll see him online again or if I ever will, he didn't quite get his last update out half a year ago, but he seems to vanish for about a year and then kind of re-appear.
Me and a few others still randomly find and post codes for PS3 games. I'm doing Batman Arkham City now and furious at how overly difficult it is to get a fully working all in 1 invincibility code to work.
I'm baffled on why there's less people doing the PS3 than there was on the PS2, seems far easier than the PS2 was. We have all of the tools out to scan for codes while playing along with Sony's own Debugger for breakpoints and oct0xor's plugin for IDA Pro that is another debugger. Netcheat can find and execute codes while playing. I just kind of see www.nextgenupdate.com and www.rivalgamer.com also, but I never bother with them, high focus on online cheating for the big name games, not my kind of people. There's also the games24 blog and a bunch of others, but it seems like so few still.

The server at gscentral.org can't be found, because the DNS lookup failed. DNS is the network service that translates a website's name to its Internet address. This error is most often caused by having no connection to the Internet or a misconfigured network. It can also be caused by an unresponsive DNS server or a firewall preventing Google Chrome from accessing the network.
